When you check out with V.me, the shipping fees are not discounted, even if you have Inner Circle membership. So, make sure that you take that into account while considering this discount - or you pick an item that is either ShopRunner eligible or free shipping eligible on TigerDirect.com

When checking out with the V.me promo, the final checkout page will appear with a "Discount $20.00" shown in the final tally. If it doesn't show, then you won't be credited with the V.me discount.

If you get an error message about something being wrong with your payment method at checkout, several SDers have reported success by changing their V.me payment method to a VISA credit card (V.me usually accepts all credit card payment methods, not exclusively Visa - except in this case).

If i know some one already post this i wont not post its detail. That waste time for nothing. Here is i just want share good deals for sd,Mad
Not a repost - "$14 or $34" deal price in your title and OP, other thread is "$49.99 after". Different price, different deal.

I don't understand where OP's $140 came from. Is that with tax? So for no-tax states, this should be $24 with Amex promo (assuming V.Me can't be stacked on top of that), right?

My same thought. Although I hope there'll be another deal with Total Defense later in the month that won't make me feel as bad.

What I would've done differently with the $50 SSD deal is to buy a Tiger gift card as filler instead of the 99c AR item. The gift card idea came up in the Seagate hard drive thread.
Since I posted yesterday's deal...
http://slickdeals.net/f/6377614-total-defense-bundles-master-list-for-november-2013-tigerdirect-com?v=1&p=62885594

check this thread, if you don't mind doing the TD rebate, there're some $25 MM deals, or $20MM with sth more useful like an external dvd burner:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applic...No=8683493

If you do a $25 MM rebate, shipping is $4 so you net $21, which brings the cost of SSD from $50 to $29. Not as good as this $24 one but that's only $5 difference then.

One hell of a deal if this were Newegg. But it is Tigerdirect with an 80 dollar rebate.

If something goes wrong, your call will be redirected to some strident woman in Bombay who insists that you committed a cardinal sin and possibly a crime against humanity because you broke some rules which are entirely in her imagination.

I fear that my rebate gets rejected because there are some cough stains on the rebate form which is interpreted as an interstate conspiracy to infect the good people of Arizona or Texas or something like that,

The software's rebate form says,
"Valid on the following product(s):
• $60 - Total Defense Premium ISS - (Model:TLD-11691) (UPC: 817839011691) (SKU: TD12-2014)".

The product for which the rebate is intended is the standalone version of the software, which can be verified at this link: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applic...No=7723458

So, technically, they aren't obliged to give you any rebate since you are buying a completely different product.

whats a good way to use the amex rebate card?
Pay the entire amt onto say a Verizon bill, use it for the gift card deals from Groupon etc, FAR software deals or load it onto an Amazon gift code

Reviews on NewEgg suggest not everyone got the Total defense rebate. Reviews of the TD package are not good (53% are 1 star). Apparently interferes with other software. May not be compatible with your current Antivirus software. allot of hoops to jump through for this deal. There are 2 rebates, an installation/activation/cancellation/difficult uninstall & signup with V.Me. Not a TC, just a heads-up. Don't buy this thinking TD is a bonus. I did rep OP & give deal TU.

"Software damaged my Windows 7 such that Windows Explorer would not run. Then the software could not be uninstalled via Windows or its own uninstall software

Calls to Total Defense Tech Support were worthless. Instead of helping me remove their software, some guy who spoke poor English tried to sell me a $169 computer tune-up that I clearly do not need."

I bought this as part of a combo with Windows 8. In order to get both for $40.00 I had to mail in a $50.00 rebate for Total Defense. The only UPC was a sticker on the CD case. I peeled it off, attached it to the rebate form, wrote that it was from the CD case above where it was taped and put arrows pointing to it. I checked online, because I never received confirmation from them, and it said my rebate was declined because I sent a UPC from the shipping label!! And they even had a PDF of my forms stored that showed the UPC. I had to call twice to get it approved, hopefully I will eventually get it. It also requires you to enter a credit card number so they can automatically bill you each year. So I had to enter my credit card so I could activate the product to get my rebate. What a pain in the keister!!! Never again."

"Mucked up my system so bad I called for support and got a run around which never helped. Finally had to rebuild my system from scratch. Plus they cheated me out of a $60 refund because I put the package bar tag an inch from where they wanted it (though there was no place specified)."
From NewEgg reviews .
Install on a virtual machine, or an old machine you don't need. At least make a system restore point before installing.

Can't stack AMEX & V.ME. This is a sweet deal on an SSD, but the TD rebate scares me. I fully expect not getting it, and I doubt there's any legal recourse to recover the money that won't cost far more than what I paid. However, since the rebate requires only a COPY of the UPC I can just scan the UPC, do the rebate, and then gift or sell the SSD for a profit since I already have a RevoDrive.

I don't know why people don't mention this trick more often, but for deals like this where it requires a CC and you're afraid they'll bill you even after you cancel...get a Citi Card. I can create virtual account numbers with cash & time limits. That way if they do try to bill the card after I cancel the subscription it won't go through due to the limit, or if it's a yearly thing like this the CC will be expired by then. It has saved me a number of times when signing up for things that have recurring charges since those companies love to ignore your cancellation requests.

If I did the TD9-10046 Total Defense rebate back in October, would I qualify for this one?

The other trick you can do is to use a rebate card with >$1.00 on it. This is what I'm going to do, personally. I have a rebate card I haven't cashed out w/ Amazon payments. I'm going to pull everything except the $1 off the card and do the registration with it. You can also UNsign up for the automatic renewal.

You don't even need to install the software. You can just go online and register and print the registration confirmation page. That's exactly what I did and everything got approved.

no, the OP, like so many others who post tigerdirect massive rebate deals, is ignoring all of us who have to pay tax on the original amount. So if everything worked perfectly (all promos and rebates paid out) we'd be paying between $24-27. If the amex deal doesn't pay out or you don't have an amex, it would be $44-47. Still a decent deal, but it's annoying when you have to get out your calculator for these deals.

First time doing this AV rebate, so I'm a little apprehensive. But TD rebates have worked out for me so far, and this one is also serviced by 4myrebate, so I'm pretty sure it'll work out
