Trying to figure out if this is a better deal than the porter cable compressor deal. This one has a 7 year warranty and the porter has 1 year I believe.

Great deal and it comes with the bostitch warranty. I recently bought this same kit for over $200 refurbished.

OP, you might want to add it is a 6 gal. compressor. This is indeed a better deal than the PC deal. Funny thing, they are both owned by B&D, but very diff products. Much better warranty through Bostitch.
TU and Rep'd, even though I don't need it.

Check Lowe's "Specification" tab for the kit. Warranty. = one (1) year

2 year extended warranty: $29.97
4 year extended warranty: $59.97

Edit: One year warranty applies to the compressor. The nailers have a 7 year warranty.

Per Bostitch:

"Bostitch Nailers, Staplers and Compressors

Effective December 1, 2005 Bostitch, L.P. warrants to the original retail purchaser that the product purchased is free from defects in material and workmanship, and agrees to repair or replace, at Bostitch's option, any defective Bostitch branded pneumatic stapler or nailer for a period of seven (7) years from date of purchase, (two [2] years from the date of purchase for Bostitch branded cordless gas nailers and staplers, one [1] year from the date of purchase for compressors and tools used in production applications).

Warranty is not transferable. Proof of purchase date required. This warranty covers only damage resulting from defects in material or workmanship; it does not cover conditions or malfunctions resulting from normal wear, neglect, abuse, accident or repairs attempted or made by other than our national repair center or authorized warranty service centers. Driver blades, bumpers, o-rings, pistons and piston rings are considered normally wearing parts. "

This is an excellent deal for the price. I have the old version and paid pretty close to $300 I believe for it as I wasn't able to wait for a deal. They redesigned the compressor in these new kits, and it doesn't seem to suffer from leaking regulators like the old one did, and dual outlets is nice (not always necessary, but nice). Good buy!

This isn't available anywhere around me and they don't offer shipping. This one is available at same price: http://www.lowes.com/pd_498816-35...facetInfo=

But it seems like the reviews aren't THAT spectacular. So I'm wondering if the porter cable deal isn't better?

Wish my gift cards from the eBay deal were here already. My wife might bop me over the head if I buy more stuff at Lowes.
