List of hosts to add to AdAway/Adblock white list

Avatar77 292 156 November 22, 2013 at 10:36 AM
I use AdAway on my one and find that it prevents the links to products from working since the links go through referral sites on their way to the retailer. I'd love to see a list of these hosts so I can add them to a white list and keep everything working right!

If you installed an adblocker or Kazaa Lite, it will block certain links that this site uses. You can fix it by using the adblocker's settings to unblock the domains listed below.

qksrv.net
kqzyfj.com
tkqlhce.com
anrdoezrs.net
dpbolvw.net
jdoqocy.com
commission-junction.com
apmebf.com
emjcd.com
linksynergy.com
cc-dt.com
shareasale.com
affiliatefuture.com
avantlink.com
pntra.com
gopjn.com
pntrack.com
pjtra.com
pjatr.com
pntrs.com
pntrac.com
redirect.at
redirectingat.com
onenetworkdirect.net
go2jump.org
doubleclick.net
evyy.net
Almost all ad blockers use the hosts file so if your ad blocker doesn't have the option to unblock certain domains, you can fix it manually by editing the hosts file. Depending on your operating system the file will be located in different directories.

Windows 95/98/Me c:\windows\hosts
Windows NT/2000/XP Pro c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Windows XP Home\Vista\Windows 7 c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Linux /etc/hosts
Once you locate the hosts file, open it up with your favorite text editor such as notepad and remove any lines with that contains items in the list above.

After that, save and close your browsers. The links should work now. If the links still don't work, make sure you are editing the hosts file located in the specific directory mentioned above.

If that does not work, try disabling your software firewall and any ad blocking programs.

Look at the URL when you get the white screen; odds are that's the host you have to add. If it is one you already added, then something is wrong with your configuration.

Yeah I got it sorted. This is what my whitelist looks like:

Make sure you apply the hosts file again after updating it and reboot. Not sure the *. makes any difference, just don't put www. in front of anything because that will not work.

Thanks for the screenshot, I dont have "www" but look like you have *. in front of the sites. I dont have that but I will edit them and add it and apply and then reboot. Just reboot my phone now all the clickable links on app works. Thank you very much.......I think the *. in front of the site did the trick, cause before it wasnt working.

What is the purpose of using these sites to forward actual sites to the user? I constantly have to use a url to ascii decoder then manually click the actual site url so I can see deals. In my opinion unblocking these sites will put users at risk of getting spam and/or phishing attacks on other sites that also use the same list of blocked sites. There is a good reason to block these sites. I use http://www.url-encode-decode.com to decode the link and then go to the particular actual url by copying and pasting it from the decoded link. Seems much safer.

The networks used are well-known and reputable companies. There is no risk of spam or phishing attacks.
