ok i can't find the 'search this thread' button on here and i do remember reading it somewhere... but what is the password to connect to the device/network settings so i can change the wifi password... you know, when you go to 192.168.1.1 and there is a login

device is working for me out of the box, speeds seem decent. in las vegas where i think 4g coverage is supposedly really good

edit, found it:

In my area, i have coverage but device admin is still showing me "scanning..." even after 30 minutes. Any suggestion to fix this problem?

Cancelling the trial is such a pain. Every time I've called them it said there were unusually high call volumes, been on hold over 30 mins and had to eventually ask for a call back.

Today I was on hold over an hour until the call disconnected. I asked for a call back yesterday and today and still haven't gotten one.

Hey there,

This could be solved by toggling the device to either 3G or 4G preferred depending on your coverage area. I can look into this further for you if you'd like to PM me with your account email.

I bought two and needed to return one. Tried the phone, but three times got dumped to vmail after being on hold for 30-60 minutes. Left my contact number three times, got callbacks in one to two days three times. Each time they sent a recording of the call to my email afterwards. Also sent emails twice via their website. Got replies both times. They sent me an RMA from one of the first contacts, and I'll be returning the one unit. I like the one I'm keeping, it works well for me for websurfing and email, good speed and reliable connection (where there is one).

Why is everyone complaining about calling customer service and being put on hold to downgrade?

Just do it on the website:
* Under "My Account" -> Plans, it should show you on the $17.99/mo 2GB/mo Casual plan.
* Click "details and plan management"
* Click "here" to downgrade your plan
* Ignore the big red warning about losing extra data, and go ahead and downgrade it.
* Look under "My Account" -> Plans, and it now shows you on the Free 500 MB plan

As others have said, also check "My Account" -> Services to be sure it says "you have not signed up for any services yet".

im dont know how i should buy it.should i buy it through groupon or the freedompop website? im only saving $1. is there a difference?

update - i went through groupon and saved $1.80.i hope it was the smarter decision because $1.80 isn't worth any problems
