H2O wireless now offers 4g LTE, check website for details

Correction on the $50 plan. It comes with $40 in international call credits per month not $20.
Also H2O rates for international calls are 3-4 times more per minute than regular international calling calls
.

For the $50 (2GB) plan the data throttling will start after 1GB of data used, and will be throttled to 128Kbps, and for $60 "unlimited" plan, the throttling will start at 2GB mark, with the same 128Kbps speed.

Where can I find out about H20 coverage?
Trying to see if my father in law can get good coverage where he lives.
Look at the AT&T coverage map. http://www.att.com/maps/wireless-...IMEvWV2-U3

Consumer Reports also surveys wireless customers with results by metro area.

Also - what phones work on H20? i.e. can I bring any unlock GSM phone to the plan?
There are 4 GSM frequency bands. Phones used in other countries use different ones, some of the phones on eBay don't have the right bands. You want an unlocked GSM phone that has the 2 US bands. (People say that AT&T locked phones also work.) Or just get a quad band phone, then you can use it anywhere in the world with GSM.

Red Pocket is better for the $30 price point... you get unlimited talk/text and 100MB data.

How is unlimited talk/text and 100MB of data better than H20's new unlimited talk/text and 500mb of data?

I think he's confused; it used to be 50MB of data at the same price.

By the way, they're also offering a refurbished iPhone 5 for $350.
