Hi All,
I know this thing is ridiculously expensive but I think that this looks like a good price for a high end MacBook Pro. MacMall is selling a Apple 15.4" MacBook Pro with Retina display, quad-core Intel Core i7 2.8GHz, 16GB RAM, 768GB Flash Storage, Intel HD Graphics 4000, 1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M, OS X Mountain Lion (ZOPZ2LL/A) for $2499. It is new but the previous model. Macmall usually ships for free and only charges tax in CA and IL. BestBuy has the same configuration on sale right now for $3149 (plus tax), so this looks like significant savings. Macmall is an authorized Apple reseller and you have to call in to make this purchase. It says on their website that these will ship out on December 12th.

I am not an Apple person (but my wife is) and this looks like a pretty respectable price for this overpriced laptop. Just thought that I would share...
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

This isn't a good price. The new 750m model costs the same, and is otherwise identically specced besides having a 512gb ssd.

For this money i'd pick the newer one every time. I bought a similar ivy bridge one(although, not the 16gb of ram model but still) for $1300 not that long ago... I've seen sealed in the box higher end 1st gen retina pros go for under 2k. They're just not worth this much.

Hey, what can I say but "Sorry". I couldn't find this configuration for less. Adorama and B&H Photo sell this for $2999, so $500 less looked like a good deal to me.

Deal is live online. Can use a rebate website to save an extra 3%. Brings net price down to $2425. A little bit better.
