Deal Details

So I just called and upgraded my existing account from Turbo to Ultimate and my cost went from $60 a month to $65 and after two months of service they send you a galaxy tab. Also, there is no contract required so one you get your tablet you can change your service speed as far as I can tell.

Do a test with this software. http://www.gmwsoftware.co.uk/
Maybe in 15-30 min cycle.

I have ultimate, and I normally reach 55 throughout the day, sometimes reaching 57. My modem is Motorola 6141 and it's wired.

Remember that cable connection's speed can get hampered by the bottleneck problem. So if the majority of your neighbors use time warner and TW doesn't upgrade their system, your internet speed might slow down, esp. during the peak hours. I moved to FIOS because of that problem 3 years ago, but moved back to TWC when I heard they upgraded their network.
M๋ีany thanks...I just finished d/l'ding & inst'ling the software to test the link.
Let's see what is the actual d/l speed would be like during the day - 24 hrs.

Can anyone point to the documentation where it says that they will provide you with a Redemption code? From what I understand, you're supposed to pick it up at your local time warner cable location.

I just ordered this ($10 more/month than my WOW cable for another 20Mb/d and 2Mb/u).. Anyways if anyone wants the specifics about the tablet offer, here they are from my chat session with CSR.

Quote :
1. Redemption code will be sent to customer through your email.
2. You should register the redemption code at TWC.com/betterreward within 30 days of eligible installation or upgrade.
3. You must also provide proof of switch to qualify. You must maintain eligible package for 60 days after installation/upgrade.
4. Customer must provide proof of switch to qualify for this offer
5. Must maintain eligible package for 60 days after installation/upgrade.
6. Fulfillment after the 60 day service maintenance period will take 4-6 weeks.Customer will receive the tablet via mail (with instructions), not a coupon or voucher to obtain one.
7.Failure to adhere to the registration requirements and time constraints will disqualify the customer from receiving the Tablet. No Exceptions.
Additionally,

Quote :
Brandon_>So Internet is a qualifying package then? I don't have to have TV service as well?
CSR>YEs, Ultimate internet is the only internet service that will qualify you.
Also for people curious about the redemption code,

Quote :
Brandon_>I believe that's it, you said that this should qualify for the tablet offer (you'll make my wife very happy..lol)
Brandon_>That's all, I really appreciate the help today
CSR>Yes that is correct. You will receive the unique redemption code 2 - 3 business days from now. I used this email for your account *****@*****.***

Also ended up getting nailed for $69.99

The rep could NOT add the $64.99 promo onto my account because it is ONLINE only. (Well, I tried to do it myself via MyServices and it never worked). So they gave me a one time credit of $64 to make up the difference for the next 12 months.

Huge hassle, no tablet. I didn't care about the tablet, because I was never promised it anyways.

I got my redemption card in the mail last week. When going online to redeem it, it asked if I wanted the tablet OR a $300 visa card! I selected the $300 visa card, it said I qualified but I must stay with time warner for 90 DAYS.
I switched from turbo to ultimate and I am only paying $10 more a month now. The website didnt ask for any kind of switching proof, so hopefully it works for me.

When did you initially sign up? Was it two weeks to receive in the mail?

Interesting, thought the redemption code was supposed to come by mail?

My installation date was 12/14. Still haven't received anything by either mail or email.

I chatted with TWC last night about this and they said I had to call 1-888-977-8985. Office was closed last night so will give them a call today or tomorrow to see what they say.

I did it probably a couple days after the initial post.So it probably ended up taking a little over 2 weeks to get the redemption code card in the mail. I chated with someone online and they confirmed I would get the tablet in 2 months, but I was surprised to get the card. So when it gave me the option online to redeem it for a cheap tablet or $300, I took the $300 Smilie

Did it request that you upload a previous provider bill? If so, were you coming from another provider or simply upgrading services as a previous TWC customer?

For anyone wondering, I had mine installed in 12/14. Had to call in and get a support ticket created in regards to the matter as I wasn't even in the system for the TWC Better Rewards program.

Also, has anyone that was a current TWC customer who received the code been able to upload a previous month's TWC bill and have it accepted by the Rewards program?

I find it both funny and sad that TWC is now offering $300..It's like they now just offer anything they want knowing they will not honor it..just to get customers to pay more monthly fees. Next week, $500...

Nope, never did even though the rewards card I got in the mail said I would.... Maybe it will once the 90 days have passed. I never did switch from a carrier, but the chat rep said I would still be eligible

So you just entered the code and it let you complete the registration? Funny how some people have to and others don't.
