Ebay has the refurbished LG Optimus Net 10 Android smartphone for $9.99.

Shipping is free and seller seems to be pretty reputable (top rated)

Probably the most basic, bare bones android phone you can find, but for only $10, how can you go wrong to use as an mp3 player at the gym, media remote, youtube in the bathroom while pooping.

Same phone that net10 was selling for $19.99 a few months ago that was a FP deal

Note: Cant unlock to use with any other provider, its CDMA net 10 locked phone so it wont work on tmoible/at&t or even sprint on Verizon

Specs: 800 Mhz Processor, 3.2" 480x320 Touchscreen, Android 2.3 OS, 3.2 MP Auto-focus Camera, Bluetooth/3G/Wi-Fi, 4GB microSD, etc.

SOLD OUT

YES, it has been OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED by SD MEMBERS IN THIS THREAD:
you CAN use the device and its features without activating on Net10. This includes Google apps, mp3, camera, wifi, pictures, music, docs, etc. The phone comes with 4GB SD card.

Unlocking Net10 to use as a phone elsewhere is not easy and especially not if you register it with Net10. You might be able to unlock it, but we don't know for sure until we get them and play around with them.

Q: Are all of the phones on net10wirelessphones.com unlocked?
A: Yes, all phones are unlocked.

Some possible roms. LOOK FOR THE NET10 VERSION WHICH IS LG L45C. There are some other OPTIMUS NET VERSIONS WHICH are different and apparently incompatible!:

Unofficial XDA Optimus net thread (different versions) [xda-developers.com]
Thread on the LG P690 version of Optimus Net [xda-developers.com]

Only two possible roms:

-Both roms have a rotated screen, and the touchscreen doesn't work. (This may not be true, read post #5 in that thread)
-confirmed working area rom following number 5 post.-eimirae

I moved all of my apps to the sd card by using AppMgr III which you can download for free from Play store:

Apps verified working for Wifi calls using Google voice:

- Spare Phone https://play.google.com/store/app...hone&hl=en

- Groove IP and Lite https://play.google.com/store/app...veip&hl=en

- PHONE for Google voice https://play.google.com/store/app...hone&hl=en (pretty large for a calling app, move it to SD card ASAP)

Rooting

If that doesn't work, use Sons of Korhal (app and drivers zipped together)

I use a similar phone as a music player, gps, and podcast downloader. It works great and is small enough for me to use in the gym or run outside with the gps tracker.

I don't need it, that is all. No reflection on the quality of the phone.
