Ebay has the refurbished LG Optimus Net 10 Android smartphone for $9.99.

Shipping is free and seller seems to be pretty reputable (top rated)

Probably the most basic, bare bones android phone you can find, but for only $10, how can you go wrong to use as an mp3 player at the gym, media remote, youtube in the bathroom while pooping.

Same phone that net10 was selling for $19.99 a few months ago that was a FP deal

Note: Cant unlock to use with any other provider, its CDMA net 10 locked phone so it wont work on tmoible/at&t or even sprint on Verizon

Specs: 800 Mhz Processor, 3.2" 480x320 Touchscreen, Android 2.3 OS, 3.2 MP Auto-focus Camera, Bluetooth/3G/Wi-Fi, 4GB microSD, etc.

i would. look on the bright side, instead of a smartphone, the $10 could have been a mcdonalds meal rotting your stomach lining away... Big Grin

its a valid complaint. i wish they would have standardized form factors across brands. all batteries work the same, theres no reason they cant all have the same sizes and hookups.

Mine still hasn't shipped yet and it has passed the delivery date of Dec. 17th. Should I be worried?

Hey, any tech challenged folks (like me) who can't get the wifi to work. This worked for me.

Go to "Wireless & networks", then "Mobile network", (make sure the phone isn't in flight mode for that option won't be there). Un-check data enabled, then switch to flight mode, now enable wifi and you're done!

Thanks. I was wondering how to have the wireless enabled, but cell service disabled. This should save some battery power.

I haven't received mine either. Contacted seller last night, and received a full refund this morning. Didn't give any reason whether order was shipped, canceled, lost or whatever.

Got my two units last night and turned on the first one this morning. Skipped activation and I am looking at 10:53 AM on the time dial which is correct by the way. FWIW, I am in Southern Cali and the socialist state here has more mandates than any other I lived in. So, this might be one of those cases. Not a legal expert here. But it works for me at this time.
How'd you skip activation? I can't seem to figure it out Dontknow

Yea the same thing here. I don't want to contact the seller because in most cases like this they will just cancel the order if you bring up any sort of problem.

I don't exactly remember but all I did was either press the "back" button, the one with the curly arrow, second button from the right, or pressed "home" button. At that point you will be asked if you have a google account or you would like to create one. That you can not skip. You need to set up your wireless network and signup for a new acct.

i think you can disable it w/ root. just use root explorer and change the activation apk to a backup. Big Grin
