The network name printed on the device and the actual signal I get are different.

On the Device: ClearSpot_xxxxx
The Signal I get: FreedomPop_xxxx

Of course, the password does not work. Anybody having the same issue?
Sorry about that. Our warehouses should have updated that sticker for you before the Photon was shipped. The network should be FreedomPop_xxxx where the xxxx is usually the last four digits of your mac id and the pw is "freedompop"

Here's an FAQ to help you change those settings to stay safe online- http://bit.ly/FAQdu

Calling in to downgrade to the free plan is taking forever. I'm starting to feel swindled.
We are experiencing some higher than normal call volumes since being closed over the Holidays. Sorry about that. You can pm us your email address and we'll take a look.

If anyone else is having issues activating your Groupon Photon and you've already visited www.freedompop.com/activate, feel free to pm us your email address and mac id and we can look at it more.

I still cannot activate the device. After sending a picture of the MAC ID as requested, the second agent asked me to activate the device first, which is exactly what I am having trouble with.

I am not sure if I missed something. Does anyone had the same problem before and got it solved? Please let me know how you did it. Thanks.

Just received mine.

Disabled auto top up, which seems to be keeping.

I emailed customer service asking them to disable FreedomPop Premier.

When I created my account, I chose the free 500mb plan instead of the 2gb or 4gb one. Hopefully that will be enough? When I emailed customer service, I asked to confirm that.

I may have to call, but assume I'll hear back via email if that's the case.

Besides adding my info and inviting via the Freedom Friends, is there anything else anyone suggests for setting my FreedomPop up?

Thanks!

Did you get a response on how to disable the FreedomPop Premier? I can;t seem to find the option to do it on the account page.

Nope. I spent an hour on the site and can't find any way to cancel it. I'll wait until Tuesday (two business days). If I don't get an email back by them, I guess I'll call.

I called and was told it was removed. It is still showing on my account though. I guess I will call again if it doesn't come off in a couple of days

You can't disable the premier add on online. It gives A very small link to click on at the bottom of the premier details page, but when you click on it it tells you have to call.

Could anyone tell me the phone number of their customer service? I could not find one and the "call an agent" link on the website does not work. I am still having trouble with activating the device. Thanks.

Just as an FYI, the number to cancel premier is:

You are in a bundled service. To cancel FreedomPop Premier, please call customer service to get full downgrade support.

Customer service can be reached at 1-(888)-731-1555, Monday through Friday, from
9 AM - 5 PM PST.

After a couple days, the auto top up and basic (500gb) plan have stayed.

Hopefully calling to cancel premier is easy.

Just called. Half an hour on hold. Last message said wait was over 10 minutes.

If FreedomPop is reading, it would be very helpful to cancel premier via webform/email. If you have thousands or more people all calling in to cancel, it worsens your wait times and reputation.

My download speed is less than 1 Mbps and upload speed is less than 0.1 Mbps. The signals in my area probably not that strong. What's expected speed if the signal is normal?

Just called. No wait, miraculously. 6 minutes from start to finish.

Asked for my email address to find the account. Cancelled premium, confirmed 500mb free and no auto top up.

I'd suggest calling today.
