surprising, but 3G data comes at a premium to all carriers because the networks are saturated.

4g enables them to open up huge pockets of bandwidth, couple that with the fact that most people aren't using 4g... thats why they can give 4g away so cheap.

how easy is it to cancel their forced 2gb trial and just use the 500mb?
As easy as calling their 1-(800) number. Go to accounts, services and then click details on the trial and click cancel. You can also submit a request at http://freedompop.zendesk.com

i read the pdf but it wasnt very explicate.

what i understand, after the first month of 2gb, you get 500mb free each month and the unused data rolls over up to 20gb total?

all for no fee after the initial $20?

if so, this is an absolute steal... would love to have in my car just for data on the go without having to tether my phone... too bad i live outside the city though, so getting 4g signal wont be happening.
I went to their website to try and check out this product for price comparison, and it looks like the roll-over data option is $3.99 per month. Otherwise the data expires and starts over each month.

The rollover is a trial also, you have to call them or submit a ticket to have those extra services cancelled. But you can earn unlimited forever data by connecting to friends (check the forum on slickdeals - FreedomPop Friends). Yes, after cancelling those paid services trials you can have snywhere from 500mb to 100gb+ of 4G Data.

If you bought it from Groupon you may be able to get Groupon Bucks. I don't know about direct from FreedomPop - try emailing them. http://freedompop.zendesk.com

So I only need to pay $20 and I can get 500 MB free each month without any extra fee?

It is a very good deal for travel usage. Can anyone verify that?

I also go their site, they have extra 1GB bonus if you activate today, not sure is it mean 1.5 GB for lifetime..

Shopping Cart:

Free 500MB Data Plan FREE
Freedom Spot - Photon Platinum $29.99
1GB of Bonus Data ($20 Value) FREE

Thanks. Do you know if after 500mb they require a card on file for overage data? Or can it just cut me off after 500mb until the next month?

You'll have to cancel a few trials (the 2gb, the rollover feature) before the next month, but essentially yes.
The only catch is that it is WiMax 4G, and won't default or use anything else laugh out loud
I'm just trying to figure out what happens when you do hit 500mb.
