We aren't really tracking time spent online, it's total data usage. Light browsing will definitely work with our service, but if you plan on gaming or streaming videos, we'd suggest checking out your monthly usage with your current provider to get a sense of what you'd use.

I just went through few reviews on Amazon and it sounds like this company is total rip off, so many horror stories about their customer service and hidden charges I would rather stay away.

We do offer an lte device on our website, but we haven't done a real promotion with it quite yet. Tech is moving super fast. I mean look at what google fiber is doing.

These have zero 3g correct?[/QUOTE

surprising, but 3G data comes at a premium to all carriers because the networks are saturated.

4g enables them to open up huge pockets of bandwidth, couple that with the fact that most people aren't using 4g... thats why they can give 4g away so cheap.

We have the unbranded Overdrive Pro (ODP) made by Sierra Wireless and the Photon 4G. In many areas where we are here in Silicon Valley the Photon does not get us service but the Overdrive does. We are lite users but the Photon costs us 99 cents a month and the ODP costs us ~$20. You have to get them on different email addresses.

The ODP has a micro sd slot which is supposed to allow it to act as a mini hard drive but I haven't gotten that to work successfully yet.

Even at $20 a month to me it's a much better deal than a lot of the other hotspots on the market ($50/month on Verizon or AT&T, $37 on TM - before taxes).

One big thing I do not like about FreedomPop is they always change their data plans and prices. Our Photon plan is 2.5 or 3GB each month but if it doesn't work where we need it that doesn't matter.

is it true that when sprint changes over to LTE, you guys will provide new access points to allow LTE use on these accounts?
We don't have any official news on that front quite yet, but we're trying to find ways to keep happy users like yourself after WiMAX is taken down in 2015.

Not familiar with any 1500MB add-on for $30 dollars deal. Are you sure you read it correctly? Send us over a link.

WiMAX is being phased out in 2015, but that isn't for over a year. It won't be months.

thanks for the reply. you guys are offering an incredible deal for those who get coverage... i dont know why so many complain or are surprised everything isnt perfect.

500mb a month is a lot of data for free, when you consider the cheapest prepaid plans would nab you $30 for 500mb
