I owned the 1080P version of this (HP ENVY 15t Quad TouchSmart) Custom built with dedicated graphics, ssd, etc. Bought it straight from HP paid $699. I hated the screen and appearance so bad I returned it. Its non IPS and viewing angles are atrocious. Also the design prevents you from angling the screen bit more then 90 degrees. Ended up with MS deal on Acer Aspire V7 and been happy so far.

+1 on the Acer. Got a V5 recently and the 1080 IPS screen is very nice.

There are 1080p Envy laptops as well.

Actually, I have an HP Envy going on a year now, and I love it. Great keyboard, trackpad, and display. I'm going to try to stick with HP going forward - we have a fleet of them at work as well. Nice laptops.

The bad: 5.62 lb and only available B&M $499, not online.

The good: HP Envy, i7 with good specs and backlit keyboard with numeric keypad

The normal: 1366 x 768 is standard resolution for a 15.6" laptop in 2013 and will continue to be in 2014.

If it was online, I would give a it a big thumbs up. But for all intents and purposes, this deal doesn't exist to me.
