Deal Details

Ok, You get a SIM CARD consisting of 512mb of 4G nationwide data ( AT&T ) for 99 Cents instead of the normal cost of $9.99
They say the normal price is $9.99 although it appears you get 1gb for $9.99 if you pay the full price, not the reduced amount of 512mb but hey its a dollar and it includes the stamp to get it to you!

This is more of a deal where you can get 512mb to use as a one off and then throw the sim away!

Chat confirmed that this can be used in an unlocked gsm phone, also apparently there is no expiration on when you need to activate the sim. Perfect if you go somewhere where you need AT&T coverage and 512mb of data for voip or the internet!

ONE PER ADDRESS - Appears to be valid for 30 days after you activate it

where on the site is the option to add 1gb for 10 bucks? I see 1gb for 19.99.

Oh yeah! had my wife's iPhone 4 on red pocket. they run on att towers and was paying 60 a month for 3gb of data which was more then enough with unlimited talk and text
If 2gb is enough, imo, the Verizon loyalty unlimited talk text and 2gb data for $60 is a better deal since you get phones at subsidized pricing

Nice didn't even know about that deal ... I guess it comes down to if you have a cdma go with the plan you suggested and if you have a gsm unlocked phone then red pocket could also be a possible choice. either way thanks for the heads up on that plan

OP should edit the title and the first post.

Red Pocket uses AT&T for its GSM talk/text/data plans but they use T-Mobile for their GSM data-only plans.

From their Facebook:

"You may purchase our Red Pocket 4G Mobile Internet Sim on this link http://goredpocket.com/redfriday. These data-only SIMs run on the T-Mobile network and include 512MB of mobile internet for free."

"Should you need further assistance you can reach us by dialing 1-888-993-3888 from any landline phones or try our live chat. Go to http://help.goredpocket.com/ and ask a question. After asking a question you will see the live chat feature on the side. Thanks!"

So we cannot use this sim on a ATT locked cell phone?

Anyone recommend a mobile hot spot this will work with? That is the optimal route for me.

what i meant was to test unlock codes provided by t-mobile for phones that are locked to their network since you need a non t-mobile sim card.

So how would you do the test? Pop the SIM into an AT&T phone and see if you can access the Web? Would you do this in a Wi-fi hot spot?

Like others, I order one of these on December 1st for their Black Friday promotion. Still hasn't arrived and I've just called for the 3rd time to ask where it is. After a 5-minute hold I was told that it should ship next week, so about 1 month after I ordered.

In short, don't expect this to arrive any time soon.

Does anyone know what the activation procedure is?

i.e. Can I just drop this SIM into a compatible phone and start using the data or do I have to first activate via a phone call or online?
