After a little digging I found the following also 50% off:

Skype Pre-Paid 12-Month Subscription (US/Canada) $15.00
http://www.microsoftstore.com/sto....287859500

&

Skype Pre-Paid 3-Month Subscription (US/Canada) $4.24
http://www.microsoftstore.com/sto....287859400

This set of 5 deals is the same as Newegg on BF. Although Newegg you could choose up to 3 each. MS only lets you do 2 each.

If the OP sees this they can update the front page if they'd like

With GrooveIP dying, is Skype a good alternative? I've used Skype before and call quality was good for VOIP, but still looking for a free alternative.

As far voice quality goes, from my research, Skype has been top shelf. I have been using Skype to talk to a remote team 5 days a week.

Skype does work good, but I'd suggest waiting - I'm sure that google will enable VoIP calling using the Google Voice android app (when they end XMPP based calling, which is what will end GrooveIP). They already enabled it on the iOS version.

Yeah, and you can't use Microsoft Store Gift Cards online anyway. It's unbelievable -- it's a behemoth technology company and you can't use their gift cards on their website. Ridiculous. I had two $25 gift cards for almost 2 years that I finally got to use when I was 3 hours away from home a few weeks ago and stumbled across a Microsoft Store finally. Grabbed a couple of games for Christmas gifts.....so inconvenient to use MS Store Gift Cards though. Don't buy one for anyone who doesn't live near a B&M store. Actually, it started with a Microsoft Kiosk in a mall. The employees there told me that I could use them online. I had to show them the back of the cards where it clearly says that they can't be used online. At that point, they took out their gift cards and saw that those also said they can't be used online -- that was news to the employees. I'm sure there are some people who buy GCs in a store with no clue that the recipient can only use them in a physical location . . .

That's odd. Just tried to pay with my paypal. Transaction stayed in pending for like 20 mins and got canceled by them. I tried to pay directly with my card and it couldn't go through. I talked to their rep through chat. Eventually she called me and tried to post payment on their side but it still failed and she says it might be some issues on the website. It didn't stop me and I asked my sis to try to purchase and she needs those cards for business. She used her business paypal and it's in pending for about 20 minutes and I'm guessing it'll get canceled.
Finally asked my friend to purchase from his house because maybe Microsoft doesn't like my IP or something. And he told me that payment showed on his card but he didn't receive any confirmation email or anything from them.
Never experienced problem like that. And I wasn't even that comfortable giving my info over the phone after Target terminals scandal...

Anybody experience problems with receiving order or making a transaction?

My purchase took 10-15 min to show up in my account. I only saw the pending charge on my cc but did not receive the order confirmation with the code until later
