I signed up with Malboro.com to get neighbor cigarette coupons, and they sent me two movie tickets for my birthday. What I get from MCR, "It's your birthday, use your points to get yourself something." LOL
That is soooo true. Even DMR gives you points but not mcr.
I turned in for the Walmart gift card exchange yesterday at 3:54 pm. I got my confirmation email IMMEDIATELY, but I have YET to receive my actual Walmart gift card! I'm getting a little miffed about it too. I realize it hasn't been the "maximum allowed" 24 hours, but it's been long enough for me! They say it should be 1-2 hours, but it could take up to 24 hours. Why do I have to be the one who gets the long waiting period!?
Has anyone received theirs in 1-2 hours?
I received mine from yesterday within the past hour.
We have a few of each around here (Central Florida) pretty sure it was a Nike store as I would not have went near an outlet mall 2 days before Christmas .. will give it 1 more try and then hopefully never mention Nike again .. I feel bad doing so
With so many people looking to dump their MCR-given cards for cash or other-store credit, I thought I'd better let everyone know about an option not to take: a Coinstar gift card trade-in kiosk.
I just saw my first one today. It's basically a giant freestanding yellow-edged touchscreen set up next to the more standard green Coinstar, which it seems to use as its printer. The yellow peril (and I am allowed to use the term) comes with a bar code scanner and card swipe reader, so it can do different gift card types on the spot. And it's very simple to use. You scan or swipe. You may have to tell it exactly which kind of card you have, as it doesn't seem to have full recognition capacity yet and some different brands of cards are issued by the same company. You provide the pin number. And then it'll give you a cash offer on the spot. Accept and it'll print a receipt, which you take to a register and trade in for money. Practically nothing quicker or easier, right? A minute per transaction and if the lines aren't too busy, you can have your cash within five.
So, since I had my first $25 Home Depot card with me, I decided to see what it would offer. Scan, identify, keep a finger hovering over the Decline button...
Home Depot value: $25.00
Coinstar's offer: $15.75
This is an offer so one-sided, I fully expect InstantWinnder to use it on the trade thread tomorrow. And so I took the Route Of Sanity: hit the Decline button -- no, really, hit it -- and left before anyone could wonder what that odd cracking noise was.
So if you see one of these things popping up in your supermarket -- it's a sucker bet. Comparison-shop, check the other rates -- and then don't use it.
Has anyone had any success contacting Coke about a missing gift card? I got an empty envelope earlier in the week. I tried using their contact us link and didn't get a reply. So I tried sending an email and still haven't heard back. Am I better off calling?
