Phone must be active on Boost Mobile service for at least 45 days in order for rebate to be received and processed.

This phone is the 8GB model, not the 16GB model as listed above. FYI.

REBATE IS NOW $50! http://img.hsni.com/images/conten...122313.pdf

Don't forget for their 15% off discount code (a popup) if sign up for email list.

It looks like Best Buy has the Verizon version for $99 (no rebate needed!) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/motor...63&st=moto g&cp=1&lp=1

Warning for the Verizon version, it ONLY works with their $60/month and $70/month no-contract plans, and not any other prepaid options. For those who use wi-fi calling outside of their provider and only occasionally need actual cell phone service, Boost will allow you to use their $3/day plan that provides unlimited usage for that particular day, and they also have monthly plans ranging from $45 to $60. Heavy phone users will probably want Verizon, but others might look into these other options.

Possible to use this as a standalone Android device without Internet, such as for music, web surfing, calls with Google Voice app, etc. (of course, if you don't activate, you won't get the $50 rebate, so if you don't plan to activate, it's better to get the Moto G from Best Buy for $99 no rebates).
Stolen from the Internet: "when it is on the screen for activation, pull down the notification shade, click the recent apps button, swipe away the setup app"

3G-Only Phone (no LTE service) - otherwise you are on slow Sprint EVDO/1X service.

Doesn't mean it's a bad product. Its one of the best lower budget phones.

Companies can choose to sell for whatever they want.

CDMA kills the deal. Have fun with under 900k download speeds.

was this just released? can't find any other seller of this phone. also, how does it fare as an video player? tried running a few avi/ xvid movies on my sero pro, but the framerates, stuttering were horrid. i thought any smart device nowadays would replicate my 10 year old *still kickin* mp3 player, but i'm coming up short.

This will run pretty much everything. Its running Motorola's X8 optimized software. Which is among the best in the industry.

Well you obviously have more opinion than experience. I have an unlocked US Bands Moto G 16 GB and an AT&T Note 3. The quad core Snapdragon 400 runs almost as smooth as the Snapdragon 800 in my Note 3. My Moto G gets around 10 Mbps on T-Mobile. There are only two negatives to the Boost and Verizon models. #1 CDMA only means for 1-2 Mbps connection speeds. #2 Small internal storage. This is obviously the 8 GB model which IMO is on the small side. 4 GB is unusable for Android 4.0+, 8 GB will work but I'd need more. Either way the GSM model is awesome.
