If you are a jogger then yes they are worth it.

mini has tiny wheels. not really a jogging stroller.
The Bobs are built like a tank (steel frame with shocks) and you can run with kids offroad and they remain safe and comfortable. Highly recommend if you plan on running with your kid(s)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do these work well as regular, everyday strollers?

Let me tell you about the Bob Duallie (with real, not plastic framed wheels). My wife and I easily put our two little ones in it for about three years and well over 5,000 miles of use. This use was over mall floors, paved roads, sidewalks, gravel, and even trail! I was astounded at how well it held up. I even sold it for $200 after years of use.

In short, it was an expensive investment but WELL WORTH IT!

They're great as strollers but would be a pain to get in and out of the car often. We have a BOB sports utility (fixed wheel, more stable for running) and it takes a little moving around to squeeze it into the back of our Prius.

We bought ours used from a garage sale ($175ish) when it was in basically new condition, have put a decent amount of miles on it from running and trail hiking, and it still looks great. I plan to resell it for just as much or more when our youngest out grows it in a few years.

It's not a dumb question. The easiest answer is it's like an SUV vs an economy car.

The SUV (BOB) is bigger, more comfortable, goes everywhere, holds more stuff, but takes more gas (energy to use) and is harder to park (doesn't fold up as compactly, steer as easily).

We used to go to disney all the time and the jogger was a pain to drive in crowds but it was so useful for carrying supplies as well as comfortable for the kids to nap in where as a regular stroller was easy to fold up and steer but didn't carry stuff well.

Ours was a baby jogger brand, but same experience as above. We got a lot of use out of it and I sold it for quite a bit of money. My wife got it at a clearance sale and I think I broke even on the sale.
