Is there a two-year Service Agreement on the Sprint Framily Plan?

Customers on the Sprint Framily Plan have a month-to-month service agreement; however, individuals moving over to the Sprint Framily Plan from another rate plan, will maintain the term commitment under their existing Service Agreement until the term ends.

corporate discount applied only to the data addon part. (10 dollars for 3 gb and 20 dollars for unlimited). I have 25% discount. That means if I add 10 dollar 3 gb, I would pay 7.5 dollars for it.

For a limited time, when you join an existing Sprint Framily Plan by bringing (porting) your number to Sprint from another carrier, you can register to receive a $200 Visa® Prepaid Card. Plus, get up to $300 with the Sprint Buyback Program!* - ends April 30th

for people using this deal please +1 the thread. I don't care about reps but the hate against sprint from one group cannot let a deal that is unparallel, as far as pricing goes, be buried under thumb downs. Companies realign and change just like people. Remember how tmobile sucked and were about to be wiped out from the face of earth last year?

FYI, you only have 14 days from Framily creation to recruit users to lock in your rate tier! - 7-10 users is the $25 rate tier No, new sprint customers have 14 days to join a framily.

The official position of Sprint is that current Sprint users can ONLY create new, empty Framilies (not join Framilies with current users). However, many posts here claim that they have taken their current Sprint line and joined a Framily with current Sprint members. ....so keep trying!!!

While the above may be true, there are creative ways to accomplish this..for example a TOL (transfer of Liability) so that all lines are on one account...if u are ok with this then u can have current family plans merge to one account

...once that happens (and the dust settles) it MAY be possible to contact SPRINT and have the bills split accordingly....<this last part is just speculation

Sprint does a credit check but will not deny people from getting on a framliy plan only buying a phone under contract. Also, you will be charged 55 dollars the first 2 months instead of the discounted price. Not sure if the discount will be prorated at the end of the 2 months on the 3rd invoice.

Take note in regards to the first month not billing correctly. Sprint memo to employees. http://s4gru.com/index.php?app=co...ch_id=8229
New sprint customers have 14 days to join a framily.

Groups looking for more lines to join

If you'd like more lines to join your Framily group, add a row with your Framily ID#, the last four digits of one of the phone numbers already in the group, the number of lines already in the group, and the date the number of lines was last checked. Note that group creators that have a discount (e.g. corporate, membership) only have that discount apply to lines on their own account (and even at that it only applies to data add on packages), not other group members.

FAQs about the Sprint Framily Plan
Last Updated: Jan 09, 2014

What is Sprint launching?

Sprint is reinventing the concept of a family plan by launching a new, revolutionary way to buy wireless phone services. On 1/10/2014, Sprint introduces the Sprint FramilySM Plan, a plan that gives the power to the consumer through the ability to group buy wireless to achieve greater savings. With Sprint Framily, the more individuals in a group, the more savings each member can realize.
Sprint Framily offers unlimited talk and text and 1 GB data while on the Sprint network for as little as $25/month per line with no requirement to share data. The consumer invites up to nine family members, friends, and others to join Sprint and save.
Each Sprint Framily member has the ability to customize their own plan to meet their unique needs.
Buy-up to unlimited data plus get annual upgrades for only $20/month per line.
Or buy-up to 3GB of data for just $10/month per line. Additional on-network data above 1GB or 3GB buy up: 1.5¢/MB.
Plus, add tablets or other products to the account (in accordance with credit policy) without impacting the total number of lines on the Sprint Framily available to a group.

What is a Framily?

Family + Friends + Other People You Know = A Framily.
A Sprint Framily can be made up of multiple phone lines in one account or lines across different accounts.
Each Sprint Framily group is assigned a unique 11-digit identifier referred to as the Framily ID. All of the accounts within a Sprint Framily group are billed separately and are individually liable for their bill.

Are all new and existing Sprint customers eligible for Sprint Framily?

New and existing Sprint customers are eligible; however there are some specific eligibility requirements noted in the questions below.
Corporate Liable customers are not eligible.

I am new to Sprint and want to purchase Sprint Framily.

Customers can purchase a new phone with installment billing, with non-discounted phone pricing, or bring their own Sprint-certified device (excludes Assurance Wireless, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile devices).
The new phone line(s) on the new account can be assigned to a new Framily group or join an existing Framily group within 14 days of the first subscriber activating on the new account.

I am a current Sprint customer and want to add a new line on Sprint Framily.

Customers can add new phone lines and purchase a new device with installment billing, with non-discounted phone pricing, or bring their own Sprint-certified device.
The phone line can be assigned to a new Framily group or join a Framily group on the customer’s existing account that has not reached the 10 line maximum. The line cannot join with groups outside of the customer’s existing account.

I am a current Sprint customer and want to change my current plan to Sprint Framily Plan. I am upgrade eligible or am in an active Sprint One Up installment billing agreement.

Customers who are upgrade eligible are eligible to change to the Sprint Framily Plan.
Customers in an active Sprint One UpSM installment billing agreement established prior to 1/10/14 are eligible to change to the Sprint Framily Plan. Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
Customers who move to the Sprint Framily Plan cannot carry over the monthly $15 installment billed discount on Unlimited, My Way or My All-in.
The One Up customer will maintain the annual upgrade benefit afforded to them under the program (at no additional charge per month) until the end of their current installment billing agreement provided they make their 12 consecutive Installment Agreement payments on time. When the customer elects to take advantage of the annual upgrade, the customer must enter into a new Installment Agreement and giveback current phone under an Installment Agreement. If they would like to keep the annual upgrade option, the customer will need to purchase the $20/month per line unlimited data with annual upgrades buy-up and make 12 consecutive payments to qualify for the next annual upgrade benefit.
Customers can be assigned to a new Framily group or join a Framily group on the customer’s existing account that has not reached the 10 line maximum. The line cannot join with groups outside of the customer’s existing account.
Go to a Sprint store to change your plan.

I am a current Sprint customer that purchased a discounted phone with a term commitment, am not upgrade eligible and want to change my current plan to Sprint Framily.

Customers can change their Plan to the Sprint Framily Plan. However, they will pay an additional $15/month per line for the Sprint Framily Plan until the line is upgrade eligible or after 12 consecutive months on the $20/month per line Unlimited Data with annual upgrades buy up, whichever comes first. The charge will be billed as a separate line item called the Framily Service Charge.
Customer can be assigned to a new Framily group or join a Framily group on the customer's existing account that has not reached the 10 line maximum. The line cannot join with groups outside of the customer's existing account.
For a limited time, Sprint will not assess the Framily Service Charge for customers who purchased a discounted phone prior to 1/10/2014 and are not upgrade eligible.
Go to a Sprint store to change your plan.

When I sign up for Sprint Framily, why is Account Holder consent being requested?

For all Sprint Framily activations, the account holder must consent to sharing the Framily ID, their participation in the Framily plan, their group membership status, their name, and the last four digits of their phone number(s) with the other group members. If communication preferences of SMS or email have been established, each account holder in the Framily group will be notified when a member joins or leaves the group.

What information do I need to give another individual so they can be added to the group I am in?

In order to join an existing group, the individual must have the Framily ID of existing group. Any person who has this information can join the group. An individual may optionally provide a phone number in the group to ensure it’s the correct group to join.
Customers will receive a Framily ID when activated on the new plan and are assigned to a new group.
Additionally, customers can find their Framily ID number:
Logging into their My Sprint account on sprint.com
Call Care by dialing *2
Go to a Sprint store to sign up for Sprint Framily.

Can I manage my Framily group and remove/add members as I see fit?

There is no owner of a group or associated Framily ID. Each member can share the Framily ID and grow the group by bringing new customers to Sprint. A customer may elect to remove themselves from a Framily group; however, others cannot remove members outside of their account from a Framily group.

Can existing Sprint Framily groups merge?

Existing Sprint Framily groups are not allowed to merge; however, you can help save money by sharing your Framily ID with new customers to Sprint. New customers on a new account have up to 14 days from account activation to join your Framily ID.

How can I check how many individuals are in the group I am in or if individuals join or leave the group?

You can find the number of individuals in your Framily group by logging into your My Sprint account at sprint.com or by entering your Framily ID at sprint.com/framily.
As an account holder, your account must be set up properly to receive a notification via text or email when an individual is added to or removed from the group you are in. You will also receive a notification when an unsuccessful attempt to add a member is made and the group is already at the maximum number of 10.
It's important to set up your account properly to ensure you get notifications. Follow these easy steps to keep your settings up to date:
Visit sprint.com/preferences and sign in to My Sprint.
Click the Account & usage notifications link in the All about me section.
Edit or add your email address under Account notifications.
Select email or text as your preferred notification method under Security & usage notifications. Edit or add your email address or phone number.

Is the Sprint Unlimited Guarantee included in this new plan?

Yes, the Unlimited Guarantee is also part of the Sprint Framily plan, therefore, you will maintain the Unlimited Guarantee on the unlimited talk, text and data features as long as you remain a customer in good standing.
If you choose the 1GB or 3GB data option for a line, the Sprint Unlimited Guarantee applies only to unlimited talk and text.

What are the Mobile Hotspot options for this plan?

Sprint’s existing national Mobile Hotspot add-ons are available including the $10/mo. for 1GB on-network data allowance.
The mobile hotspot functionality on a phone allows other Wi-Fi enabled devices to connect to the Sprint network. Any on-network data usage driven by these other Wi-Fi enabled devices pulls from your monthly MHS data allowance.

How can I best manage my 1GB or 3GB monthly data allowance on the Framily plan to prevent overage?

Data usage alerts are sent to account owners when you reach 75%, 90%, 100% of your on-network usage and in increments of 20% over your usage allowance. No notifications are sent for off-network roaming usage.
It's important to set up your account properly to ensure you receive usage alerts. Follow these easy steps to keep your settings up to date:
Visit sprint.com/preferences and sign in to My Sprint.
Click the Account & usage notifications link in the All about me section.
Edit or add your email address under Account notifications.
Select text as your preferred notification method under Security & usage notifications. Edit or add your phone number.
You can also change your data options by visiting sprint.com/mysprint and selecting the $20/mo. per line unlimited data option with annual upgrades and no overage charges.

How can I check my data usage if I do not have unlimited data for smartphones?

Dial *4 from your handset.
Text usage to 1311.
Manage your account online by visiting sprint.com/mysprint.

Is Unlimited GPS Navigation included in the new plan?

No.

Are there roaming restrictions on the new plan?

Yes. Off-network roaming is limited to (1) voice at 800 minutes or a majority of minutes and (2) data at 100MB or a majority of kilobytes.

How do I exercise my Annual Upgrade option?

Customers on the Sprint Framily Plan that buy-up to the $20 per month unlimited and annual upgrade and have the buy up on their account for 12 consecutive months can give back their current Installment Agreement phone (or an authorized replacement) and enter into a new Installment Agreement via Sprint Easy Pay. Give back of current phone in good and functional condition will waive the rest of their current installment agreement (see Sprint Giveback Program Terms).

Nothing makes sense in this plan. 1GB of data but only "As low" as 25$ i am sure there is also a 10$ to 20$ smartphone fee.

Then add more data another another 10$ each.

This makes no sense and you spelled it framily plan 2x is that the new name of it? i would be willing to bet the low as 25$ is non smartphone and each lines that adds 1 is 20$ more which is really no different than what they offer now.

Pass and TD

wow. what does not make sense? if you have 7 to 10 people on the same plan you pay 25 for unlimited text/minutes and 1 gb data. if anyone of those people want more data they pay 10 more for 30 gb and 20 more for unlimited. Where do you see the 20dollar for smartphone? I cannot find it. If it is there, I agree with you. But if you added that line without verifying I am sorry for you.

The part that kills it is "as low as" cause everything you add will be added on. Smartphone extra data etc.

Who cares about unlimited minutes and text they are cheap anywhere. Its the add on of data and smartphone that will kill it.

I have unlimited data on sprint no reason to downgrade to 1gb or 4GB

T-Mobile poops all over this deal.

But as always, it depends entirely on your location and the availability of good coverage for your area.

Family plan for T-Mobile - 2.5GB of data each for $32/line.
Drops down to $22 if everyone gets 500MB of data.

No BS fees. Only downside is max of 5 lines, and a single bill.

And as i said do not forget the 20$ for a smartphone per line. that is why it makes no sense. Because if the end if you want it all it will cost you even more.

Sprint sucks. I have no reception from my parent's apartment in Manhattan (full services with tmo, verizon and at&t). Same thing when I am in my in law's apt in Brooklyn.

Avoid at all cost.
