So this is the best of all worlds and kind of makes all us Vita-mix or Blendtec loyalists friends again. Blendtec make a Wildside jar that is compatible with the Vita-mix Blender....it usually sells for $139 and is now $19.95 with free ground shipping.

If you have an older Vita-mix and need a good cheap alternative for a new jar or want an extra jar this is a great deal and gives the advantages that Blendtec folks love with the shape of the Jar.

There is no stock counter so no idea how long this will last...and no unfortunately we can not buy this and use it with our Blendtecs! ( Customer Service just promised me it will work the same as a wild side on my Blendtec so picked up another!)

I just saw that using this jar may void Vitamix warranty. Is anyone else concerned about that?
I am not because I only have 1 or 2 months left of my warranty. It is a 5 or 7 year warranty I believe. I just got free maintenance on my Vitamix and a free canister since they cracked my original.

What a fantastic deal! In for 3 to use with my blendtec blender. The lowest price I was able to get this for back in 2011 was $49.99. At first thought this only worked with the Vitamixer, but glad too see it works with both.
Love the free ground shipping option too.

Dang... went up immediately after I finished checking out. I got email confirmation for the three at the lower price. Now hope they don't cancel my order.

Damn. Just got a 5200. This would have been a pretty sweet get... although the part about voiding the warranty would worry me... but how would Vitamix know?

I know others called the company and were assured that this will work with blendtec or vitamix blenders, but hope they were not misled because the last line in the description says this...

"Compatible with most Vitamix blenders. This jar is NOT compatible with Blendtec blenders - See more at: http://www.blendtec.com/products/rebel_jar?avad=55097_d5d013f5#sthash.6VFAnQjc.dpuf&avad=55097_a5d05795"

I am shocked more people aren't picking up on this deal. You get the convenience of a vitamix (from everyone's favorite: Costco) without having to pulverize your margaritas with the big black dong required by the basic jar.
I actually wished my Blendtec had a push rod for the green smoothies I make.

This sale was only minutes long. Maybe next time double the price and have the sale for much longer.

I just purchased my 5200 Vitamix and have troubles with smaller volume smoothies. I'm hoping this jar works better. If anyone wants to see how it works, I found this video on youtube with the Wildside being used with the Vitamix 5200. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7...e=youtu.be
What problems are you having?

I have the Blendtec. Larger food (Kale, spinach, apples and bananas I do not precut) just does not drop down into the blades. Food sticks to the sides and forms pockets of air around the blades. Some would say I need more liquid, but I do not want more liquid. I have to open the lid and readjust the food several times.

In this video, "5-Blender Comparison Test Including Vita-Mix & Blendtec" by Popular Mechanics http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkcgBwbE7nw , the whole fruit needed to be precut.

Damn, I would have gotten this. Just got a Vitamix 5200 from Costco after hopelessly waiting for a deal the past couple weeks.
