I have the Blendtec. Larger food (Kale, spinach, apples and bananas I do not precut) just does not drop down into the blades. Food sticks to the sides and forms pockets of air around the blades. Some would say I need more liquid, but I do not want more liquid. I have to open the lid and readjust the food several times.
Thanks for asking. I am making acai bowls and use one pack of frozen acai (3 oz) a few frozen strawberries, a handful of frozen blueberries, half a banana, handful of kale and some juice. Like you I do no want to add more liquid. When I turn on the Vita mix to blend it seems like there is not enough stuff to blend properly as it barely covers the height of the blades. Because the Vita mix container is tall and more narrow than the Blendtec, I am crossing my fingers that it will work better for this purpose but it sounds like I will need to readjust like you.. I really did not want to have an purchase another smaller container to get it to work properly, but any suggestions are welcome.
anyone get a confirmation email?
I did and called them to change the shipping address since it requires a signature upon delivery. They said the price was a mistake so they couldn't up my order but they didn't try and cancel either.

This is hilarious. Is this Tom Dickson's way of sticking it again to Vita-Mix? Encouraging Vitamix owners to use a nice Blendtec logo'd jar sitting on top of it. That would be like having the best cases for an iPhone with Google logos all over it.
Thank you for your recent purchase of the Blendtec Rebel Jar. Unfortunately, this item is currently on back order. We expect that you will receive this item within the next two weeks.
We wanted to confirm that you are aware that the Blendtec WildSide Rebel Jar you purchased will only fit on a Vitamix Base.
The Wildeside Reble will not fit on a Blendtec blender.
Blendtec is offering the WildeSide Reble Jar to Vitamix owners so they can enjoy the benefits of the Blendtec Jar with their Vitamix.
This jar requires you to remove the plastic drive socket on your Vitamix and replace it with the Blendtec stainless steel socket (included with your purchase).
If you have any questions regarding your order or if you would like to cancel your order with a full refund please let us know as quickly as possible at our customer service number:
All the best,
which seems to confirm Rusty's post where they updated the website to say it would only work on vitamix. Interesting that this is the first time it was mentioned we needed to replace anything on the vitamix blender itself. I'm kind of on the fence now as i was hoping to be able to use my orig along with this wildside when making more than 1 thing at once.
also, they comically included a lot of our email addresses on the CC line ...
Not sure if they are expecting people to respond to this or not
Yeah just got the same email, was just about to post it. Bit of an unprofessional email, between the spelling and the fact that they don't know how to use BCC, so I have 59 other peoples emails that they sent the same one to.
