If only I had waited to buy with coupon code.. Have used mine for about 3 months now (paid $20).. and surprisingly it works.. I prefer this over steel wool (which sucks btw)

Have one of these. Love it on my cast iron and stainless steel pots and pans.

how does this compare to a nylon scraper / kosher salt/ hot water cleaning method

I imagine the kosher salt and nylon would be less likely to strip off any seasoning you've done to the pan.

I just wanted to note an odd discrepancy:

The attached images show one image of "The Ringer", which is the product linked above:

http://slickdeals.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2503576&d=1390346281

And one image of a similar but different product "Chain Mail Scrubber [amazon.com]":

http://slickdeals.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2503578&d=1390346283

I don't have "The Ringer", but do own one of "Chain Mail" and I don't see how it'd be any more damaging to the surface of the cast iron than any metal utensil you cook with. I was concerned about possible sharp edges, but I couldn't feel any on the rings of my "Chain Mail".

I assume you don't want to use this for enameled cast-iron (le creuset) cookware, correct?

looks like 10.70 was from a gift card credit

I have a couple of questions:
1: All 16 reviews for this product are within the last two months. Is this product brand new?..also all reviews are really, really good, 4-5 stars.
2: I cannot find a website for the manufacturer. I didn't go crazy looking (and I'm sure someone will be on here momentarily telling me I'm an idiot) but I could not find the maker's website. Incidentally, it's sold by Quiverr(sp) which only has 5 reviews on Amazon. If there is a problem with it, Amazon should stand behind it. Right?

(see, two questions)

I might just have to take the plunge~!
