FAQ

What will happen after Sprint shuts down WiMAX?
Sprint won't be phasing out WiMAX until 2015, which gives us plenty of time to figure out a good way to get satisfied customers transitioned from WiMAX to LTE. If you're happy using FreedomPop (which we really hope you will be), then we wouldn’t just forget about you.

Does this only come with a Power Bank charger?
With this offer, you will receive a Power Bank Mobile Battery Pack in addition to a standard wall charger.

Are these in stock and ready to ship?
Yes, they are! Supply chain and logistical problems further delayed shipping on some of our previous backordered devices. We don’t anticipate any delays on this promo.

Are these refurbished?
These are A stock refurbished devices from our warehouses that have been tested and inspected.

Is there a non usage, or inactivity fee of $0.99?
A thing of the past. We previously passes along the cost on to our customer, but we’ve begun to implement a way to waive this fee altogether for new users and eventually, everyone.

Have a Billing Issue?
We encourage all our users to come to us first to see if we can explain any charge or resolve any billing issue before further escalation.

Customer Support:
We’ve ramped up our customer service team significantly in or to answer your email request within 48 hours. If you absolutely must speak to us, we’ve created a special phone number for slickdeals users only at (888) 743-8107 M-F 9am-5pm PDT). Please use this number so we can set them as priority during promotions for you.

To receive even faster help, just open a ticket via email- http://bit.ly/contactfp and Forward us the ticket number via PM!

Do you provide return shipping?
We do ask you pay for return shipping. This may appear frugal on our part, but we’d rather push the boundaries on how much free data we give away each day.

How do I add another device to my existing account?
Unfortunately, at this time, we’re not able to have multiple devices under one account for data tracking purposes. Each device must be activated under a unique account, but this works out really great because you can connect the accounts through Freedom Friends to receive even more free data each month.

How do I downgrade my trial?
FreedomPop has added the functionality to downgrade your trial on site through your account page. Just log into freedompop.com and select My Account> Plans

Freedompop is a bunch of crooks. They are taking these photon from people like me who paid a security deposit and not honoring it. Then only paying $15 as a buy back program.

Looks like they are flipping them here. Im warning you.

Yup, these are definitely with a 30 day refund window and not on a security deposit. If you find within 30 days that it doesn't work well for you, contact us and we can get an RMA issued.

For anyone who purchased with a security deposit before Feb of last year, we'll definitely honor that refund for up to a year.

Unfortunately, when I ordered in October, 2012, you guys never said anything about a year, just "return at any time." I tried to return it a month ago and was told that it was only within a year...

Does this device support Sprint 3G? I thought Photons could only use Clear 4G service?

Is this the free 500MB a month hotspot?

EDIT: 3G costs $3.99 a month? It says 4G is unavailable in my area.

It is. For the first month, we're giving away a free trial of 2GB of data though!

Are there any good places to see the 4g map? It says I could use it on the go but I'm not sure if where I go has 4g.

Since I've got your attention, I have another question.

For the Freedomphone service, would it be possible for me to take the phone out of the country?
For example, could I pop in a local GSM sim in China, and then use wifi/3g to make/receive USA calls over FreedomPop?
