There have been quite a few closeout deals recently for Kitchenaid Mixers. I returned my recent Lowe's 275W deal (unopenned) after finding this one.

This model is a 6-qt, 1hp professional model, for $299 out-the-door. If you want it shipped, that's an extra $16.99. The ice-cream attachment ($80 value) is available free with a mail-in rebate. All colors are available (white/red/black/silver) depending on your local store and online.

This is quite a fine deal, compared to the closest comparable one on Amazon (575W) for $419 without the attachment: Link for comparison []

I just bought this very same model from Costco, and have mailed in for the free ice cream maker attachment.

This model is NOT 750W. It's actually 350W. It uses the 1HP motor, but does not max out the power. This is stated in small print on the box (it says it only uses 0.4HP), and says 350W on the bottom of the mixer.

I don't really care about that, since it's still a good price for what it is.

Costco is famous for their generous return policy (Don't just take my word for it. Ask Google). They accept returns many years after the purchase, with only the exception of a few electronic devices such as TVs and computers.
Whoa, this is good to know. If true, this seriously cuts back on the biggest perk of this model. Can anyone confirm or explain this significant discrepancy.
since you know this now, please change the OP. I didn't catch this until I read the thread....
I'm in the market for 1 of these mixers as well...

I picked one up today. They also have a pasta accessory set for $10 off - making it $90 for the two piece (flat / fettuccine) set. Any idea if that's worth it?

EDIT: It looks like this, though I have no idea if it's the same

Thank you I've been wanting one for a while. My wife likes to make bread at home and this will make it easy for her. I'm getting one today.
