This is an excellent receiver. It has Bi-amping capability and works like a champ.
I bought it for 300 bucks on Onkyo store when they were on sale and its worth every penny. One year and still going strong.
The WiFi adapter is also very cheap compared to the adapters needed for other major brands.
I have this one...got it from Amazon for about $318. I have no idea if these are actually available at Fry's, but if you can get one (especially new), you won't find a better receiver anywhere near this price.
My favorite thing about it is the ability to turn on and manage Pandora and Spotify from a Smartphone or tablet without even turning on the TV in my home theater. My least favorite thing about it is that the app is sometimes flaky, shuts down, freezes, etc. The fact that you can do it at all really is awesome, but it does leave me wishing they would outsource the "computer" portion of the AVR, which they are increasingly becoming, to a company like AAPL or GOOG.
I wonder if it's time to upgrade my 2007 Harmand Kardon AVR247, would you guys pony up $200 over what I'm using?
JMHO. I would never go from HK back to five times more expensive Onkyo. I started with Integra went to HK and now HK in all systems. And not even 247. 145 and 1600. Quality of sound of even starter HK's is awesome.
