For the $5 rebate:
  • The postmark deadline is 20 days from the date of purchase.
  • As requested, submit your Newegg invoice, not the packing slip, order confirmation, or anything from a third-party payment processor

For the $60 rebate:

Activation is required prior to rebate redemption. This will require a valid credit card. A one-year subscription is included so this will not cost extra if you cancel the automatic renewal service.
  1. After receipt, activate online [totaldefense.com] or by installing. You card will not be charged but there will be a $1 authorization. During this process you will sign up for their automatic renewal service.
  2. Use the link on your account page to "Cancel Automatic Renewal Service" [totaldefense.com]. Doing this will not impact your rebate. You may receive an error if you try to cancel immediately after activation; try again in 10 minutes. Sometimes it may take up to a couple days for the error to clear up. Several users have had issues when trying to cancel with Internet Explorer. If the "Processing Request" message hangs for more than a few seconds, try another browser such as FireFox.
  3. Submit rebate
    • Double check your activation code when filling out the registration form. They do not validate the code at this point and a typo may cause your rebate to be denied.
    • As requested, submit your Newegg invoice, not the packing slip, order confirmation, or anything from a third-party payment processor
    • "Proof of purchase of Qualifying Bundle purchase" is your invoice showing both items.
    • Avoid taping over the print on the Total Defense UPC. Acrylic tape can cause thermal labels like the Total Defense UPC to fade. Hot melt tapes Scotch brand packing tapes (except "moving & storage") do not cause this problem.
    • Not needed for these offers, but not deleting as this wiki gets copied around: "Proof of purchase of Qualifying Bundle purchase" is your invoice showing both items.
  4. Track your rebate:
    • You can use the "Check Rebate Status" link in the email titled "Rebate Registration Confirmation".
    • You can also enter your information for the $60 rebate at totaldefense.4myrebate.com [4myrebate.com], but not at www.4myrebate.com.
    • Your documentation should be received within a few weeks. If not you need to follow up ASAP.
  5. Receive rebate
  6. Cancel Automatic Renewal Service if not already done.
  7. One year from activation: subscription automatically expires without additional charges.

Yeah, they are different rebate offer #'s, and this combo offer is for the 5 User - DVD title, so I don't think it should be any issue.

Others have done 1 Newegg and 1 TigerDirect Total Defense rebate offer per month for several months now without any issues.

I thought I had done a couple last month, just wanted to be sure.

All I need is a cheap CPU now. Big Grin

What is the cheapest CPU that can do in this board?

I hate mATX boards with a passion for some reason (lack of space = lack of air = lack of space for my shit to breathe), but this is too good an offer to pass up.

Cant decide if i should jump on this deal. I was planning on a z87 to pair with my 4770k from the retail edge but that extra $100 could go towards a much better GPU. If im not planning to overclock, SLI, use more than the 2 memory slots, or onboard usb 3.0, is there any other downsides? Also how long does this rebate typically take?

Rebates from 4myrebate usually take about a month.

I suggest activating the TotalDefense product with a prepaid debit card... like Visa Vanilla.
I use one with $1.36 on it, since it requires $1 for authorization that is put back on the card... This way if a "mistake" occurs on the automatic renewal service charge, there is not enough money on the card. (No overdraft..)

I also send my stuff with PayPal tracking ($1.69 an envelope) :\

If you have a K processor, I would go with a Z series motherboard.

Total Defense is Total Offense, I am still waiting for my rebate of 1st Sept. submission 2013. If a company plays games then it does not deserve to do business in America but in India or China.

Thanks TDMVP73!

FYI: FW is at 2% cb right now for Newegg. That will get you another $1.50 or so back.

I've made about $46 after rebate for the parts of my FAR build so far:
4GB Adata RAM - $6 MM
Corsair CX430 + Raygo MicroATX case - $41 MM

This motherboard will set me back $8, so that leaves me with a $38 credit to put toward a decent 1150 processor...

Thanks for all the deals, and go Blues!

I never got contacted that they rejected my rebate.
You should check and see if yours is rejected.
