Hey,

Core i7 4770K 3.5GHz Socket LGA 1150 Boxed Processor is on sale for 249.99$ at MicroCenter again. Not better than the 199.99$ unfortunately.

Core i5 4670K 3.4GHz Socket LGA 1150 Boxed Processor in on sale for 179.99$

Core i7-4930K 3.4 GHz LGA 2011 Boxed Processor is 499.99 which is cheaper than the 529.99 prices as well.

Locations may vary but it is on sale in the Westchester / Yonkers County Center.

Core i7 4770K
Core i5 4670K

This is one of MicroCenter's new B&M deals for the month of Feburary. Apparently they're in effect as of today (1/27/2014) since this deal (and others) appear to be live.

STAPLES will pricematch in locations without a Microcenter.

Is Moore's Law is slowing down? The i7-4770K does not look like much of an upgrade compared to the i7-2700K I bought 2 years ago.

I wish somebody besides micro or Fry's will put a processor on sale so I can finish my rig.

Why? Who would need to put it on sell? I don't have a Fry's locally but was able to place an order with Staples.com and have Chat match the price and credit my order the difference. I then walked into Staples and picked up the processor a few days later. Got the i7-3770k for $222.

This is $20 off their daily price of $270. Not that big a deal, so don't go and buy it just because of the sale.

I have the 3770K from last year and it is fast. I wonder how many generations can I skip? Wait for 6770K?

It's $240 if you buy a motherboard combo, plus the amount you save on the board.http://www.microcenter.com/site/b...ndles.aspx
Edit: Apparently they take the the $10 off the MB price, but it's the same thing (see check-out)

Don't know about other stores but the one in Orange County has been out of stock since BF.

Also.. not worth upgrading from 2600k/2700k to this.

Still good deal for those who don't have an i7 system and have it in stock.

Well for sure not worth upgrading any atm .. your pretty much set until Intel brings something explosively new to the table.

im still rocking a i5 760 @ 4.5 GHz. I am still not convinced I need an upgrade. A 4770K means new CPU+MB+RAM (possibly new waterblock) which will be north of $500 but for how much performance boost that will be NOTICEABLE? Nowadays, spending money on the GPU will be more bang for your buck.
