Is this one of those "deals" where you are hit with $100 more charges once you get there?

I've been in to Best Buy to talk to them about the "extra charges". As long as this deal includes the Interface Module, there should be much else. I'm gonna check this on out. I've been waiting for a while on this purchase.

Will this work on a keyless entry system?

I always thought a bypass module was needed for most cars? I had one put on my old remote start thinking about getting this one installed to replace my cheap one.

Does anyone have feedback on the quality of this particular system? Any problems with interference etc?

bypass module is only necessary if you have a chip in your key. if you have a chipless key like many Hyundai's nothing else is needed.

they will charge you extra for the tilt sensor that is required by law. I think that's around $20

I installed one in my 2000 civic myself. Not too difficult but it didn't require the bypass module. For $239 installed with the bypass this is the proverbial no-brainer. If you have to park your vehicle outside you'll wonder how you lived without it.
Considering getting this to have installed in my wife's or daughter's vehicle.

I had a system like this installed in my old car, 04 mitsu galant, and it required a duplicate chipped key to be installed somewhere in the system. I forget the details, but it was around $20-30 for the module. I guess maybe the bypass is whats used now?

Either way, great system, 2-way is very nice. My new car doesn't have this and i've hit the remote start only to find out 10 minutes later going out to my car, that it didn't end up getting the signal to start. Replacement remotes aren't cheap though, look for around $60-75 each. And only 1 of the 2 remotes with the system is 2-way, the other is standard 1-way. Also unless viper has changed their fob design, the back battery cover may come loose if you drop your keys a few times. I wasn't able to find replacement battery covers easily either.
