Well OP... There are two ways you can do this... Either as an attachment, or as an actual picture on your post...
If you want to just attach it to your post, there should be a little paper-clip icon on top of this menu (just above where you enter the text in your post)... then you can just attach the picture file of your scanned receipt, and it will be attached to your post.
The second thing you can do (if you actually want the picture of your receipt to be seen in your post - and not just as an attachment) - and its just a little bit more complicated... You will actually have to have a URL site to upload your pictures to (for example, I use a website called photobucket.com). You actually have to register w/ them and all, then they give you your own space to upload pictures to. They will also give you a URL address to copy... Paste that URL info into the prompt that comes up when you press the "insert image" button on top of the menu (almost right above where you enter text in your posts).
In-line images are not supported in all sections, most notably Hot Deals.
This is to protect dial-up and other limited bandwidth users and to keep deal posts compatible with smaller, portable or text-oriented devices.
Blocking images makes it easier to ensure that hot deal posts are work-safe. It's easier to have a system can check for and block inappropriate text than inappropriate images.
It's easier to search for deals if the facts are posted as text rather than as images. If someone posts just an image of an ad without the corresponding text, then it would be harder for that deal to be found via search.
Slickdeals is able to share the best deals because of the contributions of users like you! If you found a great deal,
please share it with others by posting in our forums.
