User Comment on Product: Always been happy with my proflowers orders. My wife had an issue once with flowers that she sent, but customer service was great and sent a replacement out immediately. - SquirtTortuga

Checked my email and found this offer from proflowers for two dozen red roses and a square glass vase for 29.99. If you use the code DEAL25 at checkout it should take 25% off making it 22.49, which is the best deal I've seen for red roses. Shipping and handling ends up being pricey cost me about $18? Valentines day is $5 more. My total was $40 and it seems like a great deal for 2 dozen roses and a vase. I know people have had issues with them in the past, but my experiences with them have generally been positive. You can also go through shopdiscover for 25% cashback making the roses potentially cheaper, however this is YMMV, but worth a shot. Good luck!

Here's the link.

Updated (thanks melehundele and HokieCPA)

Purchase livingsocial deal for proflowers $30 for $15 ($13.50 with USA10 code)
https://www.livingsocial.com/deal...ts?index=1

Go to link above for flowers and input your livingsocial voucher in special offers. Flowers + vase will cost 29.99 instead of 22.49 since you can't combine special offers/discounts.

I ended up paying about $32 for 2 dozen roses + vase + shipping and handling. great valentines day deal!

Just to clarify for those who can't read
You CAN'T COMBINE promo codes with the livingsocial code

I believe proflowers contracts local flower places, but with no accountability and undercutting them, the local florist uses the crappiest flowers.

I would rather pay the extra money to make sure your loved one gets a beautiful bouquet of flowers than the sad sacks of garbage you get from proflowers.

Good grief, can you walk me thru this?

i cant get anywhere close to this price.
Hey Shane, here's a walkthrough the best I can explain it.
1. Purchase the livingsocial voucher for $13.50 with code jan2014.
2. Click on the proflowers link I provided in my original post, should come up $29.99 with free glass vase for 2 dozen roses and select a delivery date (valentines day delivery is extra).
3. Add item to cart
4. On the next page, there's a special codes section (this is where the livingsocial voucher code goes)
5. Fill out the info (address/note) and proceed
6. After i filled out the info it said my voucher had expired or something weird, but on the last page before you place the order there's a section for special codes. input your livingsocial code there if you got this error and the $30 will be applied. It doesn't come off the order total which is around $48, but there should be a breakdown somewhere in the middle of the page saying 18 dollars or so will be charged to your card and $30 to your voucher.

Hope this helps!

forum says 25% CB shopdiscover? Waiting on approval of my discover card so I can't confirm. May not be able to use the 19.99 deal going through shopdisc though.

This looked like a pretty good deal until I saw the reviews and what the flowers looked like on yelp:

Imagine giving these flowers to that special someone on V-Day:

why would you pay $40 or more for flowers? complete waste of money

buy a nice bouquet from trader joe's or whole foods or costco for $10-$20. with the money you save you can buy a nice sixer or bottle of wine, some good cheese and dark chocolate
Doing just this.

My order was $13.50 on LS + $19.88 (after taxes) to ProFlowers.

Roughly $33-34 for 2 dozen roses.

Came out to $29.47 for me too. Two dozen roses, vase and delivery...pretty happy with all that.

Now I can sit back and not worry about picking through the leftover flowers at local shop on Feb. 13 or 14.

I've ordered from them maybe 5-6 times in my life and the roses that came always looked nice. The only mixup i've ever had with them was one time where they were supposed to send 2 dozen and only sent 1 dozen, but the customer service rocked, refunded me and let me keep the roses. I don't think they'll get all the orders perfect due to the volume during valentines day and flowers being perishable, but they've always done a great job for me. If it doesn't work out just get your money back.

I got charged $2.74 tax in AZ, boooo!

And those yelp pics are definitely not the norm. Every year my orders arrive in really nice condition.
