I haven't played this one, but I've played 2 other NFS ports and they were terrible as well.
You couldn't even turn off cinematics in them, so if you got 1 inch off the ground, game stops and let you see that AWESOME ACTION. Which I guess is okay, until its for the 50th time in a race.
Graphics options? lol. Res size.
And seeing press (A) button gets old after a while. Its not just NFS, but most racing ports seem to be rush jobs. I couldn't play more than about 10 min in either game.
I don't think this game will be much of an upgrade judging from reviews. If you factor in Origin, not a slickdeal even if free.
Those who can not do, resell slick deals on craigslist.
Dude. I really like the NFS series (well, most of them), but after the comments and watching that British dude's video with the absurdly stupid cutscenes forcing some sort of "edge" that makes no sense and sounds ridiculous, I've been officially turned away, at least until I hear there's been a major re-haul of the whole thing and it's playable. Or there are some unbelievable mods out there that fix *everything*.
Interesting that it's capped at 30 and, apparently, the dev says that's OK for next-gen PCs and consoles...Well, didn't Sega try really hard to push devs to make every game 60 fps on the Dreamcast? I think I read that once.
Funny enough, though, the ad for the video at the beginning was for the NFS movie. It'd better not be like that intro cutscene. :\
EDIT: Wait, but the PC version of Most Wanted (2013?) was pretty good, wasn't it? I owned that and it wasn't bad at all, no frame caps or the like, and it worked with most gamepads (most notably, the popular Logitech one that's half as much as the Xbox for Windows one). What happened? They pushing those trying-harder-than-ever-to-be-PCs-consoles this much?
