bought the non-bundle from amazon and love this scanner. was able to scan over 4000+ family photos in a holiday weekend, with hiquality, accuracy, precision and speed; it also has a duplexing option if needed. currently experimenting with different paperless scanning options and how to organize, but i'm a big fan of this scansnap.
i think i've gotten more questions, pm's and reps for girl in my avatar than for anything else in all my years on sd
I got mine back in September from Newegg for $357 shipped with a coupon they were running.
I love this thing. I use it for home; I've scanned in all my boxes of "keep" documents I had and was able to get rid of them.
I scan them to my Synology via a file share over wifi and have that backed up to crash plan for off-site backup.
I now scan all my important documents that come in via the mail and throw them out; no more big piles of mail that need to be filed/kept.
It's really fast, accurate, and typically only gets jammed on crushed up papers/receipts.
One quirks I don't like -
-You can't use the file program to index/search other PDFs (like ones you get as an email or print to pdf).
-You can only associate the scanner to one computer (even over WiFi).
Tip, take some time to setup your folder system you will use for filing, it will help you out tremendously when looking for a document.
EDIT: Just looked at my receipt, the one I purchased was: 38-115-095 which is not the bundled one (Though it still came with the full Adobe XI).

Want to add my 2 cents since I also own a Fujitsu Scansnap
I got a S510 Scansnap more than 6 years ago, It costed about $550 back then. I can tell you it's the most reliable machine we have in the office and working perfectly still now. My 6 year-old scanner is fast, does duplex scan, picture scan ~ The new model probably have much better feature.
We have other people who want to save money and gotten Espon, Brother, and Canon scanner, they all regard it. It started to have problem after awhile. Don't even think about the all in one machine with scanner for frequent scan use.
If you ever get a $50 off $200 coupon for Staples, I'd simple price match, use that coupon and you could have this machine for $360, which is a sweet deal. The bundled rack software is not needed, but could be sold for $80.
