Hi,

Thanks to the folks here [costcocouple.com] I was able to score a this 7 piece dining set I've been watching for a while. A $200 instant rebate is offered at Costco on this set. Regular price is $789.00. I paid $589 plus tax (on $789). Some folks may not find the rebate available in all stores. Call your local store and ask for rebate and stock information on item number 810246 before visiting.

Instant rebate ENDS Thursday 2/5.

Good luck!

I bought this set at full price a few weeks ago, and then saw the rebate this last weekend (Austin TX location). Costco was able to give me a price-protection refund without the receipt, because Costco.

We thought the set was worth while at full price, so the extra $200 back really sweetened the deal. The entire set sits about an inch or two higher than a normal dining set, which works great for my family of taller people. The cushions on the seats is very nice. The finish on the wood is a great dark stain. It cleans up nicely and doesn't appear to be too easy to do damage to. The hide-away leaf is very well done, though it doesn't really seem to add enough table space to seat any additional people - it is more for adding more serving space, I think.

As far as concerns - the seat cushions are covered in a bonded leather, which can be hit or miss as far as longevity. The assembly involves A LOT of allen wrench bolts, which can be a real PITA. There is no adjustment on the legs, so the chairs appear to be a slight bit wobbly or have slightly uneven legs when you first assemble them, but the wobble goes away completely once someone sits in the chair/weight is applied to the chair. I don't know enough about assembling furniture to know what that means. Finally, the center support for the table is a little large, which can affect leg room under the table, particularly at the ends when the leaf is not raised.

you shouldn't have any problem getting a price adjustment from Costco

Their price match policy is 30-days, with receipt. However, their return policy is pretty indefinite. I'd go to the counter and ask them what you would have to do to return the set, and be fairly honest with them that the only reason you want to return it is because you want the better price.

I asked the rep on the phone if they would match the price, but he said Costco doesnt price match even with another Costco.

Where are you located? Just want to know who else has this rebate besides Phoenix, AZ

Not bad, we almost bought it, but the floor model has some chips in the edges and it seems easy to chip and not easily fixable.

we bought ours almost a year ago now and we have had the same issues with the uneven chairs. the bolts that hold them together periodically come loose and you have to tighten them all up. the legs to the chairs constantly hit the legs of the table when you have the butterfly leaf folded in. getting in and out of your seat can be tight. with our three kids using it all the time it has held up pretty well so far though. they're like moving earthquakes so they tend to put furniture to the test
