If you convert the voucher into your membership on the 1st of the month you get 13 months of membership.

Has Anyone received the coupons in mail ?

Note that if you took advantage of a trial membership during the last year you can't that advantage of the deal.

Be aware that it is very possible to shop at Costco WITHOUT a membership.
The only catch is that you have to know someone with a Costco membership you can use once.

1. Go here http://www.costco.com/Costco-Cash...24438.html
2. Buy several $25 cards (or one big card if you prefer). They will be shipped to you in 7-9 business days.
3. Since the Cash Card is essentially a gift card, it becomes your "membership". Use the Cash Card for at least part of the purchase each time you go to Costco. As long as part of the purchase is on the Costco Card you can pay the rest of the balance with cash or debit (no Amex as far as I've heard, but can't confirm).
4. Profit Smilie

Alternatively, you can purchase cards in warehouse, although you still need a membership to do so. Hope this helps someone. Post #555 - sweyers

If you do not know anyone with a membership, register for an account at giftcardgranny.com which searches multiple giftcard selling sites including ebay and set up an alert to be notified when a Costco GC becomes available. I generally receive an alert twice a week. The first time you go to Costco, be sure to use the entire value of your purchased gift card and buy a new cash card for piece of mind; the seller of the costco card may have kept the GC number. -NutsAboutGolf

Wait for the $50 Cash Card. Despite the title, this deal was nationwide

Use shopDiscover to get 5% cashback

$20 cash card is given to you when you sign up. Only the coupons are mailed to you.

Coupon code - USA10 for 10% off making it $49.50

These same questions keep getting asked so I am posting the responses:

Can I use this deal?

Costco flags primary members forever, but YMMV. If you have ever been a primary cardholder, then this deal will probably not work for you.
If you were a secondary card holder and you were never a primary, this deal will work for you.

Will my Costco accept the Living Social voucher?
Call your Costco to make sure they will accept the Living Social voucher. One in my area would not, but the other 10 miles away said no problem.

When do I get my cash card and coupons?
You get the cash card right away. The coupons will be mailed to you.

Can I pay with bitcoin at CostCo?
Costco only accepts AMEX and debit card with PIN. No other CC’s (vica, MC, discover, etc).

Can I use this for an Exec membership?
Some posters are reporting extra perks being offered to upgrade to an Executive Membership (additional $55 which yields you 2% cashback). It is warehouse specific so YMMV.

When do I have to activate my membership by?
May 10, 2014

What does paid value expires February 5th mean?
It means that you have until May 10th to get the deal, but whatever you paid for it will still be available until February 5, 2019 if you don't use it for the deal. Ex. You paid $15 for $25 to a store, until May 10th is good for $25 after that it is only good for the original $15.

Locations this worked:
Naperville, IL
Everett, MA
Bloomingdale, IL

Locations this didn't work:
Bolingbrook, IL

*********I was a Costco member about 7 years ago and was given my membership card with all the perks with zero issues. The rep said that she thought it was 18 months, which was confirmed by somebody else in the thread via Costco's Customer Service email.

Costco kills Sam's club hands down in both price and quality plus I would much rather support a company that takes care of their employees.Smilie
Agree! Every costco I have been to is consistent in terms of quality and pricing. There used to be a sam's in my town which was actually very good but after switching locations it's definitely gone downhill.

If you have a friend who can "keep gifting" you a Costco Cash card, you really don't need any membership. You can shop at all Costco locations with Costco Cash Card!

Costco is great however their pricing is NOT the best. If you notice, Costco is starting to cheapen out on their own product too, less ounces in product and higher pricing.

Also, unlike Bj's, Costco does not accept manufacturers coupons.

If you are the type of shopper that "feels" superior by paying slightly higher prices, then Costco is your spot.

I have all three memberships and all three have their role.

Also waiting for the Executive member deal -

Cheers

I agree most of the stuff there isn't worth it. Its the about the same price as walmart but just in bulk. I only go to costco for alcohol and theres no membership needed to buy alcohol.

Just got one. TY OP. I was waiting for a deal. BTW - Costco prices are not the lowest, however, your overall bill when you walk out will be lower than if you shop at most other stores, assuming you are not shopping selectively.

The trick is to shop selectively at Costco and only buy those items that are much cheaper than other stores (cold meats for example), but for that, you need to live close to one. If I stayed ~2 hour away from a Costco, I would be less excited,

Wow I've been looking for a deal in costco membership. Is this as good as it can get or has anyone seen a better one?

I love my Sam's. They have an amazing customer service plus I love their click n pull service. Saves me a ton of time.
