Could someone educate me whether iPhones sold by sprint and verizon MVNO can take ATT or TMO SIM cards (after unlocking)?
The next question is can they be unlocked? (:
I don't think Sprint/Verizon/Virgin iPhones can be used domestically. While they have GSM chips and SIM slots, and work internationally with GSM carriers, I believe they are software blocked and unable to use domestic GSM service.
I just read the Geavey SIM hack/card could work. But not confirmed.
Just in case anybody had the same question I did, it doesn't look like you can use this phone on the Sprint Framily Plan. From the Framily Q&A:
"Customers can purchase a new phone with installment billing, with non-discounted phone pricing, or bring their own Sprint-certified device (excludes Assurance Wireless, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile devices)."
