Deal2go 5,117 277 February 9, 2014 at 08:30 PM
Can anyone recommend a decent, good brand wireless headphone that would work with or compatible with Samsung 55-inch LED Smart TV - UN55F6300 HDTV ? Want to hear TV but didn't want to wake my partner
Thanks

I picked these up for $200 recently. Not sure why they're $280 right now but they're friggin awesome. I had a cheaper pair for awhile but these are so comfortable, the range on them is insane, and the build and sound quality is great!

https://www.amazon.com/gp/css/sum...=dp_iou_0&

The lower RS series I've heard are also great but I preferred the plush over the ear models. Also, these just use a rechargeable AAA (or 2 of them). As with all battery powered electronics these will degrade over time so I'd suggest buying something that has a replaceable battery for when that day comes.

I would think most wireless headsets would work with it. All you need to do is connect the audio out (headjack/RCA) to it which most TVs would have.

Weird, here ya go.

http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-...rds=RS+170

The 160 also seems to be a good unit but I believe they don't have the dynamic bass boost.

i had a toshiba non smart HDTV made in 2010. I bought a sony wireless headphone at sony store. But that one didn't work with that TV. The back of the TV has different thing and not compatible with that wireless head phone.
Now mine is SAMSUNG 2013 smart TV. You are sure the links you gave will work in the back of this TV right?

The 160/170 connect to your TV via a headset jack or RCA (white/red) out. You basically plug your TV audio out in to the base unit and then the unit transmits the audio to the headset you're wearing. What is nice is that it doesn't restrict you to only using it with the TV. You could plug it in to your phone and listen to music for example.

One thing to note is that you don't simply turn the TV on and then the headset comes on. You would turn the TV on, turn the headset base on (if you don't leave it on always) and then turn the headset on. Then when you turn the TV off you turn the headset off, and then the base off (again assuming you don't always leave it on).

Per their specs

http://www.samsung.com/us/video/t...FXZA-specs

Audio Out Mini Jack - 1

I've got the F8000 and same thing. Per it's specs

http://www.samsung.com/us/video/t...FXZA-specs

Audio Out Mini Jack - 1

I don't see any reason why either model wouldn't work.

I don't know what type of headset you currently have but you may be able to find an adapter actually to make it work. Say for example it only takes a RCA (white/red audio out) as an input and your TV doesn't have one, it only has a headset jack (the same one I listed above). You can go to Radio Shack/Best Buy, etc. and pick up a RCA to headset adapter where it splits the one line in to two. Maybe take in the thing you bought to them and see if they can sell you something to make it work.

Optical will not work for the RS 160 or 170. If I recall it requires their $500 headset which is friggin insane. Is there not a headphone jack on the TV? Do you not have the 6300 which I linked to?

Here are the specs again per the link I provided for the UN55F6300AF. The Audio Out Mini Jack is the headphone jack.

Ethernet 1
Component 1
Composite In (AV) 1 (Shared with Component)
RF In (Terrestrial/Cable Input) 1
DVI Audio In (Mini Jack) 1
Digital Audio Out (Optical) 1
Audio Out Mini Jack 1

IR out 1
RS232 (AV Control) Yes

mine is the Samsung 55-inch LED Smart TV - UN55F6300 HDTV. bought when it was on great deal by DELL.

I chatted with crutchfield customer service rep online and he suggested I should get wireless headphones that says "AUDIO IN with a 3.5mm or mini jack input" to work with this TV.
sounds right?

Ya. He and I are speaking the same language...

To put it another way do you have an iPod or anything that has earbuds? If so see if you can plug them in to your TV and if you hear sound. If you do then you should be good to go.

WILL THIS http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDRRF9...+SMART+TV?
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-...+listening
http://www.amazon.com/Boss-Audio-...+listening

I don't want something that requires additional connectors. I mean like people using something else to watch internet TV on non smart TV.

lets say 3 persons are there, one is asleep. the other 2 want to watch movies

but didn't want to wake up the sleeping perosn

can the 2 person hear sound wirelessly ?
