Last April deal from HP @$200 was FP....I bought & love it..

Just a public service heads up: Glossy screen, not a matte finish. Great price if that is not an issue for you. I hope this helps others save time figuring that out. (and/or trouble).

Another public service announcment: Height, swivel, and pivot adjustments are not supported and the monitor lacks VESA mounting holes for attaching it to a wall. /faheyd

Great monitor. Paid slightly more for it about a year ago from HP direct.

I only have one issue with the display... perhaps someone else with the same monitor has a solution.

For some reason, after a long period of time, the ports on the monitor will stop working. For example, the HDMI port will stop showing an image and only display a black screen (not a BLANK screen, as in a screen without an image or backlighting, but a BLACK screen). The monitor will still show that the HDMI/DVI port is receiving a signal.

The solution is simply to disconnect the ports and disconnect the power going into the monitor for about a minute. After that just plug everything back in and it works again.

Only happens like, once every 6-8 months or so... but still kind of annoying.

I'd contact HP.. that doesn't sound normal.. I've had something similar when I was on the Windows 8.1 beta release .. updating my driving and defaulting my startup to debugging mode solved it.. but this was fixed with the official release.

I just ordered this but also wanted to post and say I have had this issue happen with my ASUS 24' LED monitor on WIndows 8.1 as well. Has happened twice and it wouldn't come back on and give me input signal until I turned off computer switched from DVI to vga or vice versa and it will then work fine.

Few months later, same thing happens and I switch the cords around and it fixes it.

I blame 8.1!

Try doing this it might help:
I assume that you use USB devices like mouse and keyboard. Go to these devices in control panel and uncheck "computer can power down to save energy in properties tab and reboot. If box is unchecked " blabla ... can wake up computer from sleep" check this box

I had ordered this Asus VS248H-P [amazon.com] monitor but sprang for this deal because of the bigger screen size and my fiance wants a "pretty" monitor.

However I am a big gamer (BF4 mainly, just ordered a gtx770) and am wondering will the 7ms response time be noticeable while gaming? I am currently using a ASUS VE228 which is a 5ms response time and I don't notice anything about it lol

edit: I am selling my current monitor and probably returning the asus I ordered to use this HP 27". Just want to make sure I won't have any issues while playing BF4 at 1920x1080 on ultra.

Usually its hard to see a huge difference unless you go above 8ms.. and even then if you ask me...still tough to tell. I know what makes a difference is the 120hz and up.. but even then I've talked to many who say its over rated.. I guess some have super eyes who can detect it..and others like me ... it's just all good as long as the game looks nice.

GTX 770 .. and 1080p your good to go performance wise.. IPS will look bright and nice too.

Please don't listen to MS myths. I've this monitor and I play xbox one and use it as a second monitor. This is the best monitor I've had. The IPS panel is the best in the market.

You will not be able to detect a 2ms difference. In terms of speed you can't even hear a 2ms difference between 2 sounds either.
