I assume the same reason SSDs are the same price or more expensive than they were almost 2 years ago. I don't think I paid as much as that regular price for the 16GB 18+ months ago.
SSDs have increased? I haven't kept a close eye on them, but judging by the FP deals, it seems like they've come down quite a bit over the last two years in my mind. Why have they increased, materials?
This actually isn't a very good price, and it's not because you can get refurbished for cheaper (did a guy seriously compare a deal for a new card to a deal for a refurbished one?). This is the older 90MB/s card that Sandisk is trying to get rid of as they already have the newer 160MB/s cards out. And before anyone says 90MB/s is fast enough, we're talking about the value of the deal, not how good the product itself is. Lexar 1000x cards are a couple bucks more on Amazon and they outperform these 90MB/s Extreme Pros.
