These people are the dumbest Muthaf%^#$#* I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my limited use of CS reps.

I have clearly asked what the friggin warranty period is on this tablet as it showed 90 days when I bought it, they sell out and then change it to 30 days. Not sure how hard it is to answer the question but here is the latest BS:

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with your product or the manufacturer of your product. In order to assist you in obtaining manufacturer warranty service, we need your permission to release your contact information to the product manufacturer.

Please provide the following information in your reply.
1. What is your daytime contact phone number (can be a cell phone or work phone)?
2. What is the problem you are having with the item?
3. What's the serial number on the item?

It's crystal clear they don't understand or comprehend a single thing I have wrote to them nor do they have the ability to use their eyes and look at the screen capture I sent either.

I have no friggin clue how they are thinking I am having a problem with the tablet or the manufacturer when all I have asked is for clarification of the exact warranty period of these tablets showing them the emails from their own reps saying 90 days and 30 days.

This has clearly made me never to want to purchase anything electronic (new or refurbished) from them ever again. If this is how they handle issues that pop up I would hate to see the horses%&$ they would pull if someone was needing warranty service.
oh hey what it sounds like now is they are 'other ethnic' and dont understand do to the language barrier and are using preset answers. these csrs like to use american name to sound more american.

Yeah, it's friggin insane. They now want me to contact the folks that this warranty is under and it isn't Hisense.

contact Sohnen directly at www.ConsumerServiceRefurbish.com for warranty assistance

And who is Sohnen?

Founded in 1971, Sohnen Enterprises, Inc. is one of the largest and most technologically advanced consumer product refurbishing companies in the world. Our Headquarters and National Receiving Center (NRC) are based in Santa Fe Springs, California and our Refurbishing Operations are located in Tijuana, Mexico.

This is some seriously sleazy tactic. There was nothing on the item page to even hint that these were refurbished by anyone other then Hisense.

Learning experience and slightly amusing (in a sick, twisted sort of way) seeing how this is playing out.

Edited to add:

Doing a random look at various refurbs on Newegg and nothing showing who is doing the refurbishing but looking at older items like this 42" Vizio HDTV [newegg.com] they (being Newegg) did have the company Sohnen listed. So this looks like a very deliberate omission on their part to make the consumer think items are manufacture refurbished when obviously they are not.

So some might be saying, so what. Well, my credit card company extends the warranty on refurbs but they have to be manufacturer refurbished. That was what I thought I was getting and was why I bit on this particular item but as this is now clearly not refurbished by Hisense then that extended warranty doesn't exist.

As I have said previously, lesson learned.

If anyone bought this for a younger child and has been trying to find a bumper case for it, I finally located one that fits perfectly at Walmart!

It's made by Vivitar and is a kid-safe universal bumper tablet case. Item# UNV-BU-BLU-WM. Mine is blue for my son so the model number is specific to blue. Perfect fit and doesn't cover up anything it shouldn't.
Hey Curt, can you please let me know how much that case cost and if you ordered it or bought in store? I cannot seem to find it online and Im thinking maybe that they don't have it anymore.

Thanks!
