I have a lot of movies in flash format (.flv). Will this tablet play them? Or maybe there is an app I can install on this tablet to play .flv files?

Also many web pages still use flash. What happens when you access those pages with this tablet - can it display them correctly?
Yes download mx player it will play them

Q: Is this a good tablet.
A: Yes

Q: But what about a Nexus 7 1st gen refurb for $115?
A: Save $25 and get the Sero 7 Pro. I have both, and I actually like my Sero 7 Pro better. It has haptic feedback, rear video camera, and a microSD port. The screen and processor and ram are the same, and they even feel pretty darn close to the same in your hands. The Sero 7 Pro is a TINY bit thicker, but not really even something you'd notice unless you held them at the same time.

Q: I don't believe you. You're just a guy on the internet
A: Ok, then read a review from
Engadget: http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/3...-7-review/
or
ArsTechnica: http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/20...r-50-less/

Yes. It's basically a clone of the Nexus 7 1st gen, with added features, for a cheaper cost.

+1. I bought a new one several months ago and have been very happy with it, especially when I tether it to my S4 with its unlimited data plan.

There are multiple apps that will play FLV on android and they should work fine on the Sero 7 Pro.

The question is non-sensical. Are you asking "is this a Google certified tablet?" (which means "does it come pre-loaded with the Google Play Store?"), then the answer is yes.

I got one from the last deal. The tablet is in good shape with a small scratch on the screen. You get a lot for $90. It froze once in the roughly 20 hours I've used it so far and a reset fixed it. Battery life isn't that good for mine but I'm still happy with it. I've been using it more than my iPad lately because the size makes it easy to carry & hold and the screen size is great for games and movies on your lap.
by the way, have you tried Greenify app? I think that helps, it hibernates apps that keep running in the background. i call them vampire apps.

I got one when they showed up on December. DOA, so I had to return (paying Newegg's return fee)
I don't believe you. If it showed up DOA (dead on arrival) there is no way Newegg would charge you a return fee.

looking to grab one for a kid.. any kid friendly cases around that will fit this? preferably one with a silicon bumper or something to protect it from the constant drops.

Yes, and? It's not $85 now, and at that was only because you got $5 off for ordering through NewEgg's mobile site.

If $5 is a breaking point for you on a tablet that's worth $25 more than what it's selling at, then by all means leave one more for the rest of us and stay on the sidelines.
