couldnt really find this anywhere, but do these have GPS?
Yes, this tablet has GPS and Google maps works great - very fast.

Bought a refurb from newegg last November, and it works great. No problems, and I'm very happy with it. Highly recommend.

how does this compare to the Dell Venue 8 in real world performance (i know the screen size is different but i'm wondering about performance)
I would say that a Venue 8 is NOT worth the (nearly) $100 price difference.

In what ways?

Honestly asking. It looks like both have their ups and downs.

He sounds a bit like a troll, but to give you a real answer, the Nexus has a very slightly better screen and feel in your hand. It also has faster official releases for software and a bigger independent dev community on XDA. It also has twice the built in storage, which is easier to use for apps than an SD card. I would not say it is a better tablet even at the same price point, but there are legitimate reasons to pick between them other than price. The Hisense is generally cheaper, still has pretty good rom support form the community, has haptic feedback, expandable memory, and hdmi out. There are other minor differences that would probably only interest people nerdy enough to already know them but that is the big stuff.

The non pro is a huge pile of poo compared to the pro and really isn't a very capable tablet. So if you like the non pro, you will absolutely love this one.

oh hey how well does google play run on this?
Perfectly, or at least as close to perfect as it runs on any other tablet.

In for one... 30 day exchange policy sucks though. Way to stand behind your refurb job... Anyone know how much I'll get hit for return shipping and fees if something is amiss?

Yes, and? It's not $85 now, and at that was only because you got $5 off for ordering through NewEgg's mobile site.

If $5 is a breaking point for you on a tablet that's worth $25 more than what it's selling at, then by all means leave one more for the rest of us and stay on the sidelines.

Perhaps this?

Well I am not a real tech geek, but my boy has loved it. Plays all his apps, and plays his music. I will like the GPS and navigation option. But at this price, its gotta e a steal!

I am preparing to be blown away!Big Grin

Anyone ever try running XBMC on this with any luck?

XBMC works and plays MKV's and add-ons. I use it all the time to stream from my server and stream shows with add ons if the speed is fast enough.

How does this compare to the lenovo ideapad A2109 that was available for $75?
looks like the $75 Lenovo from newegg ended up being the 7" A2107A

Have one of these since last summer when wallyworld dropped the price. been running strong. Only once when trying to turn on got no response. ended up pressing the volume up and power did it come back to life.

Great little device. if I needed another, I'd buy one so out for now
