32gb for a full windows tablet is a joke. If you put real programs on it, you'll be out of storage in no time.

I really appreciate MS & Intel working together trying to put together their best on tablet devices but am very pissed off at HP/Asus/Dell for baking half assed products. First, this is directed to Dell: Who the hell on earth decided to give just 32GB of storage for a Windows OS device. When I tried to reset my Dell VP after a couple of weeks since its wifi signal frequently disconnects (because of some faulty windows updates), I got an error message saying it cannot factory reset because the free space available is too low (WTF?). Then take a look at the ports, a single micro usb port for the charger (which is very nice) but then you cannot connect an external drive or keyboard. Did I say half assed job? Now, I hear this shit about HP's port location and the propreitery charger port. I mean, do these manufacturer's intentionally want to destroy any chances of popularizing windows 8.1? or they are just plain stupid to realize that the same design for android tablets doesn't apply to windows based tablets.

32gb is way too small for a win 8 tablet , don't buy it.

In my opinion, one should always have a desktop and a tablet. THats good enough. Laptops are so 20th century
I disagree Laptops are the best mobile productivity tool.

Perhaps they aren't new and hip. But NO NEED for a dock...no need for attachments , LOTS of HD space, Lots of ram, True SSD
I will always prefer a laptop over a Tablet.

This is a great tablet but I had to return mine as well due to the limited storage (32gb is not enough once you really start using it full-time) and the ports placement is a mess. Not very practical. Those are my only two gripes. I'd be all over this if it had at least 64gb and a keyboard dock available for purchase.

32gb is plenty for win 8.1 pro with office 2013 pro. after optimization i claim 10gb of total free space. i dk what you guys are complaining about lol.

yah are asking way too much from a sub 300-400 dollar device.

I really want this one.. but its got the WORST port locations of all tablets. Why place charge port in the bottom? I cant use a case and have it in landscape mode. And the dock is like 40 bux!!
The port locations is the primary reason I didn't purchase this tablet. The why did HP do that questions marks kept adding up. Like why have the noncharging usb port micro instead of full size? Why 32GB? For a company trying to enter the tablet market again this tablet wasn't well thought out.

It was priced at $350 at the time but I went with the Venue 8 Pro for $200. I really wanted the Venue 11 but they are price gouging those for whatever reason. I think Intel made exponentially more 3740 chips and few 3770 chips personally. Anyways I'll pick one up a Venue 11 on a sale later or wait for Cherrytrail.

I don't think these tabs are selling so I expect $200 here soon.

The 3770 theory sounds reasonable to me.

Either way, IMO basically your option is 64GB T100 or wait at this point. Unless you want the high res screen, then you're making the trade off for no locking dock/low memory (HP) or 50%+ higher cost (Dell). Will be interesting to see what Cherry Trail does to the price of these devices and where Cherry Trail pricing comes in at.

Microsoft should not license Windows 8 to any tabet with 32GB of storage. This is such a ripoff to the consumer and further ruins the reputation of Windows 8. This is no different than when shitbox makers were putting Vista on hardware meant to run XP. Vista ran fine on computers designed for it.

This isn't too unreasonable though So you have 10-12GB free on a 32GB device. A 16GB iPad will net you around 13GB of free space.

The issue is with the 64GB versions -- Android / iOS 64GB have around 56GB free where Windows tablets have only around 35GB free

wow pretty much described everything i think... i also bought the venue pro 8 64 gb for 250 at microcenter and i am on the lookout for a sale on the 11. I love it has a full usb port on it and decent accessories. I think the venue11 is best full sized baytrail tablet but 449-500 is too much for this. I bought my venue with my amex so hopefully within 90 days a sale will pop up to return my tablet back to Amex and pick up the 11..with 64gb of course.

Great price on one of the best non-neutered baytrail tabs, I have examined them all extensively and this one is top of the list at this price is a GREAT DEAL.

If you want one grab it.

Better Atom+ HDMI +32GB+ HP+ 10inch
Is this supposed to be a list of positives? HP is always a NEGATIVE. The build quality they provide is not good but merely acceptable. I guess if a person was used to Toshiba trash an HP would be nice.
