Att Wireless currently has the Asus Memo Pad FHD 10'' 16 gb Android tablet for Free when you sign up for a new 2 year contract or add a line. What makes this a slick deal is that it also qualifies for a $100 statement credit if you keep the line open at least 45 days. When you add a line to your existing ATT Mobileshare plan it is only $10 per month to add a tablet with their new Value Plans on the 10gb data pool.

So then really your net cost is only the $10 AAL over 24 months= $240 - the $100 statement credit so it works out to about $140. Alternatively, if you only keep it for two months you will still get the $100 statement credit. You will pay $142 in etf(plus possible tax on the etf) and $20 in add a line fees for the two months worth of service bringing your net cost to $62.

The inferior Wi-Fi only version is currently $279. This version has the Snapdragon S4 pro quad core processor that is much faster and is obviously LTE enabled.

ETF is $150 minus $4 for every month of service completed under contract.

DEAL EXPIRED

cases: Cases for the ME301T fit this perfectly. The sleep/wake for thsoe cases will not work because ASUS are dorks and left that feature off this tablet. Even so, the cases fit great with speakers, camera, and buttons all being right where they should be. Even slim cases that have snap in style plastic that has to fit just right work. Some of the cases for the ME302C will also fit as it is only a tiny bit different in size, but I would not recommend getting any slimline snap in style cases for ME302C. So, amazon or ebay search "ME301T case" and know that whatever you find will fit this as I bought 2 styles and both could fool you into thinking they were made for it. -Slomer

This deal is for AT&T customers.

Thanks to users user_sand_sar and teja9999 Before you order, chat with reps and politely ask for $75 code good for accessories.

If you are currently enrolled in the Mobile Share Value Plan, you can add a line for $10 (plus additional fees). Here is a tip, when choosing the data plan there are two options for Mobile Share Value Plan:
For LTE Tablets
For LTE Tablets (2-Year)

If you select the first, it will not discount the tablet.

If you select the second it will and $399 will be taken off the one time charge.
If you are currently enrolled in the Family or Individual Nation Plan, then you can add a Data Connect line for $14.99 (plus additional fees).

------------------------

Looks like this will root it. It is listed in the supported devices: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s...?t=2130276 _ I DID NOT have success using this method. Kingo Root worked for me however.

The device apparently has a locked bootloader. You can unlock it using a utility straight from Asus: http://www.asus.com/support/Downl...%20LTE/32/

--------------------------

Note: The tablet being sold is the ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10 LTE model with a Qualcomm 8064 Quad-Core processor, NOT the much slower non-LTE model having a Z2560 1.6 GHz Dual Core CPU listed by Amazon.com that many people are comparing this tablet to.

Yes the qualcomm processor is much faster. Quadrant scores of almost 8000
Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ S4 Pro 8064 +MDM9215M Quad-Core, 1.5 GHz

Model number of this tablet should be ME302KL. A link to manufacturer specs is here [asus.com]. This thing has a decent processor, 2gb of ram, etc. It is a lot nicer than what is listed when you search most places for memopad fhd 10 because the non LTE version is a totally different tablet that is not nearly as nice as this one.

LTE version is a completely different processor than the wifi. LTE is a Qualcomm quadcore, I think the same one in the nexus 7 2013, wifi is an clovertrail dual core, either the z2670 or z2560.

Head to head benchmarks of the two would be interesting.

Confused a little by this thread. Is this a good deal or not? We already have AT&T and have a Family Share Value Plan with 10GB. Dh needs a new tablet. Will this cost $10 per month or $15 per month?

Adding this tablet to your family 10GB share plan (which is the new plan they just offered) will be $15 a month.

$15 * 24 = $360 -$100 = $260

For that price, you might want to get a Nexus, Galaxy, Kindle, etc.

It's $10 * 24 = $240 - $100 = $140 for the new 10G mobile share plan.

Why did the OP say $10 per month? Because that is what AT&T says too - all tablets whether on NEXT or not is $10 a month under our plan. I just want to make sure. Also, this says it's an online only deal.....just wondering if anyone was able to pick up one in the store?

Do you think $140 is good for this tablet?

I just placed an order. $140 over the 2 years for this tablet is a decent deal to me. Reviews on Amazon for this tablet is also good.

I think this tablet is different than the one sold in amazon "in a good way actually", as the 4G LTE version have a better process "Qualcomm 8064 Quad-Core in 4G version vs Intel Atom 1.6 GHz" and you are right it's 10$ a month, so for 140$ over two years this is really a solid deal, this tablet worth at least 400$ off contract.
