Is it still worth it with $18 in sales tax? Comes out to about 29 a pop and 31 with NY tax Added...
Definitely not worth it. Find a different retailer online that is not charging sales tax.
This deal is par for the market, and I would not consider slick in the least bit. Unless someone wants the singles you can buy a 10oz bar for cheaper. Sights like silvertowne, apmex, even scottsdale offer free shipping. JM Bullion has recently been priced the most competatively if you ask me.
if i wanted to 'get started' in investing in metal. how slick is this ? how do the conversions work.
If you sell as scrap you won't get more than the current spot price. Usually random branded coins/bars offer some sort of collector value that usually keep a price $1.50-$2.50 over spot when it comes to resell.
