Quote from Mike Sievert, T-Mobile Chief Marketing Officer :
Starting this Friday, we’re offering $200 credit toward a new device when you trade in your current BlackBerry and upgrade to one of the latest, greatest devices. Purchase any device we offer at T-Mobile. It’s that simple. Bring in your old, working BlackBerry and we’ll give you $200 toward a new BlackBerry or any of our other state-of-the-art smartphones.i In addition, for those existing T-Mobile BlackBerry customers trading-in and choosing a new BlackBerry Q10 or Z10, we're offering an ADDITIONAL $50 off the purchase price of that new BlackBerry. These offers will be available for a limited time.

With our new $200 trade-in offer, combined with our Contract Freedom program (which pays off your early termination fees when you switch to T-Mobile and trade-in your eligible device), that’s a pretty sweet deal for any BlackBerry user. Whoever your current carrier may be.ii There has never been a better time for BlackBerry users to switch to T-Mobile

T-Mobile is currently offering $200 credit toward a new device for your old Blackberry device or $250 toward a new BB10 device for your old Blackberry device.

This sounds like a good deal since Blackberries have a rather low secondary market value. Much less than $200. Yay, Twitter feuds!

Also note the two items:
Quote :
i. Eligible phones must power on, no cracked screens or water-damage.
ii. Qual’g service & device purchase with voice line port-in from eligible carrier req’d. See www.T-Mobile.com for requirements and payment details.
The second item refers to the terms of the early termination fee (ETF) deal, which may be combined, and NOT the trade in deal. You can still trade in if you are already on T-Mobile.

EDIT 2/2/14: There are reports coming in that if you select a device with a value less than $200, like the Lumia 521, the REMAINDER OF THE AMOUNT WILL BE CREDITED into your account! That is one of the slickest options, IMO.

Also, there is an account of a person just asking for the account credit successfully. YMMV

This is a heads up. T-Mobile will be offering $200 credit toward a new device for your old Blackberry or $250 for a new BB10 device for your old Blackberry. It starts this Friday.

Yay, Twitter feuds.
Gonna trade in my old Sprint 8330 and get a Q10 Smilie

They were referring to this given the "i" above it:

"Eligible phones must power on, no cracked screens or water-damage."

Don't know if it needs to be connected.

If it really is ANY working Blackberry, this is a hell of an offer. I've been w/ T-Mobile for over 10 years, and I can say that I've been happy with their customer service. This new, aggressive, spit in your competitors' face and laugh at them while poaching their customer approach is pretty awesome.

Yay for competition. Thank goodness AT&T was pushed back from taking over.

Damn. What a deal. So I can trade in my old Sprint Blackberry Tour that's been sitting around and get a new phone. Maybe I can finally get that Note 3.

1. If I have two old Blackberry devices, can I trade in both of them toward a single new device?

2. Is there a limit on how many new devices we can purchase per line or per account?

I'm sure it's only one trade per phone. Probably each line can only do the deal once. This would be a great way to get a half price nexus 5
