2 pk baking mat set
The Artisan silicone 2 pack half size baking mats are ideal for use with half-sized aluminum sheet pan (18 inches x 13 inches). This mat gives your sheet pan a non-stick surface for delicate or messy baking projects. Produced using FDA (USA) and LFGB (Europe) approved materials, these are oven, microwave, and freezer safe and the silicone mats can also be used on the countertop for all types of dough. Mats clean up quickly and easily with soap and water and allow to air dry. Mats are also dishwasher approved for top rack only. The mats will not absorb food orders or flavors and are perfect for the avid baker or the seasonal holiday cook. No cooking sprays, oils or parchment paper needed, helping you save both calories and money. These will quickly become your new favorite kitchen must have item. These are not to be used as a cutting surface. Sharp objects will damage the mats. Please use in conjunction with standard baking sheet pans; place silicone baking mat inside the baking sheet and then place food/cookie dough on the top of the silicone mat for either oven or freezer use. Mats are all BPA and BPP free. Artisan Metal Works is a 107 year old company that is known for exceptionalism in the foodservice industry.

Cutting silicone mats is not recommended. That suggested mat is a teflon mat rather than silicone. If you want silicone a quarter (8"x12") sheet size is about as close as you are probably going to get. Here is a link to one example. http://www.amazon.com/Sil-Eco-Qua...baking+mat

Actually, I don't know. I haven't got mine yet. The expected delivery date is tomorrow. It doesn't surprise me that its just wrapped in plastic but you would think they would have additional protection and documentation. They may well be drop shipped direct from the manufacturer. Make sure they aren't badly scratched or damaged. If they are you may want to contact Amazon about a replacement. Also if you get a survey email from Amazon regarding this order you should fill it out and voice your concerns about the packing and lack of directions. You could also contact Artisan to voice your concerns. http://www.artisanmetalworks.biz/...solutions/

I got mine today. I ordered two sets and they were not in a plastic sleeve at all. Each set was in a small, long, plain cardboard box with a round cutout on a corner so you could see part of the mats. Rolled up in the mats there was a printout of the cleaning and storage instructions. After a quick google search I found out that there is a pdf file of this same "manual" on the product page on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...UTF8&psc=1
Scroll down to Product Details and you will see the link to the pdf "manual"
Here is a direct link to the pdf... http://ecx.images-amazon.com/imag...WqNF3S.pdf
Edit: I see one exception to this pdf and my hard copy....Mine does not say Made in China....Hmmmm
