2 more hours on the phone with tech support. I love my job.
The last time I had to call tech support (for a program we lease and cannot service ourselves by inhouse IT) it took 60 days to get it fixed. Yes, 60. And five trouble tickets because they kept closing them out saying that they had fixed the problem when in fact they had not. They finally fixed it on the fifth try. The kicker was after the fourth attempt they sent me a customer satisfaction survey which I raked them over the coals on. All ones and twos (out of ten). A supervisor called me back within the hour and the problem was fixed the next day. But 60 days. I would not have wanted to be anyone at that company after I spoke with the supervisor but I had dealt with at least 6 different people in those two months and my problem still wasn't fixed so I let them have it on the survey.
