Wonderful. But i bought norton 360 already for $25 last new year day. I think the Internet suite is enough for most of us.

It's been this price for a week. (I've been watching it, I'm considering buying a new anti virus) And it's not far off the average that was about $29 before that. So, if you think you're going to resell this and make money off this think again.

Not to threadcrap - and this might have been asked earlier, but what value does Norton provide compared to, say, Microsoft Defender antivirus which is free? I have had defender for years now and never had any issues and it does not bog down the machine.

In a download purchase from Amazon, does the license start right away or when I activate for the first time? I have 5 months or so left on mine, I just started using NAV for the first time in a decade.

Thanks

Agreed it's when you activate it. Norton won't see you've used the serial until you associate it with your account.

oh hey i never associate my activations with any account. non of their damn tracking business!

they were using activations associated with accounts to help being the ones that were abusing rebates.

Is Norton 360 really any better than Internet Security? Assuming they are the same price, anyone have a preference over the other?

I'd say, if you haven't had any issues then stick with what you have. I run Avast on my laptop and have never had any issues. I run a more intensive version of McAfee on my desktop and it is always slowing it down.
