Thread Details

Take it easy on me, I haven't posted many deals….

Heard this on the radio the other day, OnStar is offering 3 months free of OnStar Directions & Connections. All you have to do is push your blue OnStar button and ask the rep for '3 months on us'.

I have done this with my vehicle (yesterday) and it does work. The ad says only available with purchase of a preowned vehicle but I have had my vehicle for 1 year and previously had another free trial active on it and I was able to get this promo. When registering they don't ask for a credit card either.

Does anybody know of any other way to get OnStar at discounted or promotional rates? I really like the idea of the crash response and vehicle diagnostics services but at almost $20 per month, it's just not worth it. I know some insurance companies offer discounts if you have OnStar but are they ever enough to offset that monthly subscription cost?

At the end of my 3 month trial last time I let it expire and then they emailed me an offer of $150 for 1 year or $12.95 for 6 months locked in.

fyi, I think it is only for 2007 and newer vehicles...the fine print...

My 6 month new car trial ended a few weeks ago, but I was eligible and got this. I declined sending data to my dealer, adding any minutes or adding my credit card to file.

Thanks OP
