First off, this scenario gets weirder with every additional detail. I would never sit on my couch to play PC games...that's retarded, inane, and totally defeats the purpose of PC gaming...
So Castle Crashers, Trine 1/2, Lego Sagas, and all the myriad of games with full controller support is "retarded." You apparently don't have many friends that come over and don't want to sit behind a desk for a casual game. Go fire up that nerdy desk with LED ambient lighting and USB-powered fridge then. Since you've identified yourself as a troll, this should be your next stop. http://www.steampowered.com/steam...icture.php
My rig is connected to a TV over a desk, its very comfortable and functional and doesn't involve little retarded chat pads from 2008. it also minimizes eyestrain by creating optimal viewing distance.
My dedicated HTPC is connected exclusively over a TV, it's very comfortable and doesn't involve "little retarded" gaming keyboard and mouse from 2008. I'm so glad optimal viewing distances can apply to other things than a desk monitor, whew. I don't expect you to open this link, since you know what the link leads to anyways, but surprise me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opti...g_distance
But I understand if you're just self-conscious of your little text entry device and weird ass community of PC gamers who play from couches to pretend their not using a console...
So you're saying that everyone who attempts the above are self-conscious, and weird. Might as well call yourself weird too for having countless grammatical mistakes with your gaming rant.
You don't know the niche, because they don't play to pretend it's not a console, they play because they want the best of both worlds.
There are reasons why people have PCs installed into their living rooms, but I don't need to reiterate them because you can pretty much google that for yourself.
Whenever you look at other people's rigs, does it ever seem weird that they're connected to large displays over desks or designated game rooms and not 10 feet across a goddamn living room to a TV?
So for those that have lost rack, my argument still stands that this device is stupid and the people using it are also stupid.
No, I don't find it weird if they want to have their computer connected to a monitor as well as a TV. I accept both approaches, but neither are mutually exclusive in terms of a correct setup, as you apparently feel. Likewise, with the chatpad, it works for those who just don't care about your dogma.
Thanks for all the troll food, I will now retire from this worthless yet entertaining troll session.

Tried this for the first time yesterday and found that the chatpad isn't working. I have it connected it to a wireless controller, which the instructions say should work, but no dice here. What are other's experiences using a wireless controller with this chatpad?
I'll contact XBox support (says to do so in the instructions), but not sure what they'll suggest yet. Curious what others have experienced using this chatpad with a wireless controller.
